 | | | Monday 05 July Holy Land Trust visits Jericho and the Dead Sea: Visited Dr Sami Mussallam, leader of the Palestinian Authority in Jericho, in his secure compound.
He talked of the difficult situation of the Palestinians and blamed failure of negotiation on extremist e.g. the assassination of Rabin by Zionists just before he was to make deals in favour of the Palestinians, and suicide bombs at the point of Israel and Palestinians making agreements.
He believes the extremists on both sides are working together to destroy the peace process. Afternoon: A much-needed paddle in the Dead Sea to heal all wounds to my feet! Paul Gent
