Evening: During a Barbecue at the top of the village of Beit Jalla, (the highest point around Bethlehem) I could see the green light of Ayda camp's mosque in the distance.

Along with several settlements, the Israeli route 60 that leads to further settlements and all the watchtowers that over give 'security' to the region - one can really see the dire situation of the Palestinians at this height.

Nasim, who works with local peace organisation looked over with disappointment towards Ayda camp. "The problem is that there are too many ignorant people there; you know how they got the money to build houses in the refugee camp?

"They build the settlements and the wall; they are building their own prison. They build for Israel for low wages, instead of letting them hire foreign labour, and then they throw stones at them.

"They should attack the watchtowers and the soldiers, instead they blow up buses and kill innocent people - women and children - that's what I mean by ignorance," says Nasim.
