Having just left Elland Road after watching a 0-1 defeat by Derby and having watched Leeds for many years it is obvious, that we have a real crisis at the club, and I don't mean the team, and unless we do something, we are going into the 1st Division, and the disaster that relegation will bring with it, the average gate will drop to 12,000 and every team will treat us as their cup final when we play them, so, its time to do what we were always good at, lets use Don Revies tactics and make Elland Road a place teams fear to come, it is up to us "the fans" to do our bit, and cheer the team on, not boo the lads, lets get behind them and make the 12th man it doesn't help when players get booed every time they touch the ball, all that happens is that they get nervous and frustrated, lets cheer on the team and we will climb to where we belong Good luck Leeds

mark b
Brolin without a dowt.thats got to be the worst,at the moment there is no hope for the great lufc.were going down and that hurts bad.come on boys get your act together.

ricey in manchester
We must stop bleeding goals and look to win all our home games. no amount of passion is going to make up for goals given away too easily. If we tighten up at the back it will mean more pressure when we go 1 or 2 up. Teams will not be broken if they come thinking they can always get a goal. I think we need a stopper in the middle of the park like Bremner, Hunter, or dare I say Dennis Wise. keep marching on together lads.

Rob
I think the game 2day against Burnley was disapointing we deserved the win .But we brought a lucky goal back they shouldn't of taken Blake off because he is the best player the team has and could of at least drawn the game for us

Daniel Cook (age 10)
Festive connections Kevin (Saint) Nichols PS performance was a Bremner

alan h
2-1 lets see if we can hold on to it ! cummon leeds

dylan,leeds
bright start from leeds but why cant they buil on or at least hold on to a lead? crainey out! foxe out! there both too slow for full backs!

dylan from farnley
we've only had one player worthey of the "bremner" status in the last ten years and thats Lucas "THE CHIEF" Radebe.

dylan from farnley
if leeds brought down there ridiculous ticket prices of 26 quid a game we'd get bigger crowds like we used to, giving the team an extra man! the more the season does on the further behind leeds are getting and the more it looks like ken bates is turning into risdsdale! he needs to put his hand in his pocket and bring some quality into the club! cash in on healy and get some of the dead wood off the payroll! that together with the bigger crowds could put leeds back were we belong!

dylan from farnley
i wasnt that excited when wise took over but you have to give him his dew, he is trying to move leeds in the right direction and that was going to be a hard task even if sven had the job! getting rid of gregan and butler is a positive move , they have both give leeds 100% but they re not the calibre of player that leeds need to be great again! ugo is a goog signing, hope we can keep him! bring back sullivan!

steve Doncaster
I feel that we all need to give Dennis Wise a good chance at getting things right at Elland Rd, were bound to have a few slip ups and a few poor games thats Football, but i feel given the chance Wise and poyet will gide us back home next season, So lets get behing all the lads and Wise for the rest of the season!!!!

Keith Ellis
Bremner was an all time great player.Brolin came with a top reputation but let everyone down, including himself.

dawn land.
leeds played well.(colchester)I think wise will do well for leeds.I think alan smith is a good player.Bring smith back to elland road. Give smith ago. If we get hem on loan. come on leeds.

Iqbal
We needed some one like Dennis Wise who is not afraid to make changes and get rid of players who are not good enough to play for Leedsunited, Paul Butler shouls have gone a long time ago he is not good enough or fit enough to play,I am sure Dennis will make Leedsunited a team that others fear.

mark burnley from wakefield
much more like the leeds we know and luv, more passion n commitment come lads keep it up.well done..

Gary, Yeadon
There has been no one at Leeds since Bremner to produce a `Bremner` moment, amd certainly not amongst the current players. None of these would have been allowed on the same pitch as him. However, they are more than capable of producing Brolin moments a dozen times a game.

MOZZAA-C
Blackwell built this team, please stop talking about him,he is responsible for this mess.

steve
im listening to the game now .................its unbelievable how far this greatclub has fallen ....i watched the great leeds side .......never would they cave in like this....never......thr trouble with this side is .....we have no quality.........no guts ..........no heart......we are a poor championship side who cant compete with this bunch ........i dare say the new management will do their best ....but seriously they cant competee with heartless ....gutless ...players..........empty this slde dennis............sell healy ...........lets get some cash for him while we can ........these fans deserve better.....a lot better ........

steven furbank
brolin,we are back to reality been out played by a better team, bates is going to have to put is hand in is pocket to sign better players.we are not too big a club to go down leats just hope we do`nt end up like notts forest.

steven furbank
quite pleased with the performance today showed a bit of passion, lets hope it can continue, like the changes wise has made, think their should be a few more.

Phil C
I think we have showed before that uncertainty causes problem. When our finances were the issue the players didn’t seem to know what to do. Now the issue is we are manager less and again the players don’t know where they stand. I think we need some direction. What that might be is a debate in its own right. I plead with Ken Bates to make a decision because being relegated when we should be pushing for promotion is ridiculous. Lets remember that this is essentially the same team as we had last year and they did ok.

Dave Bennett, Keighley
After the Stoke game I thought things could not get any worse. How wrong I was. A 2-1 home defeat to Leicester and then yesterday. I am really concered, we are not just being constantly beaten we are being constantly thrashed. I know I have been bleak in this and my last posting but I just can't see how things are going to change, we are constantly being told there's no money which is what is needed and that is the chairman's responsibility. Ken it's time to invest further or bring some in from elsewhere or better yet KEN IT'S TIME TO GO.

Andrew Roberts ( Wigan)
i could not get a ticket for the match yesterday so i listened to the commentary on radio leeds the players of Leeds utd showed no passion or disire and at the end of the month they will receive there wages they should ask themselves one simple question. DO WE DISERVE IT

Adrian - Birstall
I have followed Leeds from the age of 8,i am 40 next.I have never seen them in such a sorry state, its heartbreaking to see.I had my doubts when Bates took over and unfortunately,my doubts are proving to be right. The performance today was shocking, embarrassing! If Ken Bates wants to win Leeds fans over,he needs to act promptly. Carver is not the man,we need someone whose strong commands respect.Graeme souness has them attributes,he is the man who has the fight and hunger and experience to get us out of this hole and put a bit of pride back into this fantastic club.

dawn land.
leeds need to pull there finger out.they can win games. come on leeds united. you can turn it round.go to all home games.

Gurj, Halesowen
Just listened to the Luton game...this is just killing me so much and I am sure the other Leeds fans feel the same. How much longer is Bates going to take t find us a manage - we are crying out form someone !!! Even Mike Newell said in his interview with Eddie Gray, we need DIRECTION....if the opposition manager can see it, why cant our chairman for god sake !!!!!

Rich D
Butler, Cainey, All midfield 5 - 1 Leeds United. As a season ticket holder, I am numb and have been for a good while now. Yes, we need a manager, but lets face facts, the aforementioned names have been a joke for months and will be when a new man gets in. We also need half a team as well as a manager. While I'm at it Eddie\Adam, you are the voicebox of the Leeds fans so get off the fence and show some passion when players arn't playing well! Finally, as for Bates, he saved us for which I am very greatful but the time has come for him to come clean with his plans - What ever they are we will still be here which is more than we could have said 2 years ago. Forever LUFC!

Steve, Brighouse
I hope all those fans who were calling for Blackwell to be sacked are satisfied. After todays result and 13 goals past us in 3 games it is clear to me that Carver is not the man. We need someone in fast who can turn us around. As for something missing, what could that be? Perhaps it would be easier to say what isn't missing! At Elland Road the 12th man, the fans are missing, but even if Bates were to give free tickets out now we would be lucky to get anywhere near a full house on recent form! We are a laughing stock!

Mark - Nottingham
Another disgraceful performance from a group of players who we know are capable of better things. What’s going on? We seem to have totally forgotten the basics, we can’t pass a ball and I’ve seen better defending by a team of 11 year olds. Butler is the worst captain this club has ever had, we don’t have a single leader on the pitch. Totally humiliated and destroyed by some very ordinary mid-table Championship teams. Ken Bates needs to show some of these players the door before they drag us down to a level this club has never been before. 17 goals conceded in 5 games…….!!! Get rid of the OAP’s and bring someone with PACE into the club BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE…!

steven furbank
brolin i love lufc but i'm ashamed sometimes to say i am leeds fans, time to play the youngsters at least they would play with some passion

Dan Rose
I could write 50 books on what has happened at Leeds but Im just too upset and depressed to even think about them. Im sat here crying.

Mark, Leeds
Like many fans I felt sick (literally) listening to the match last night on Radio leeds.Just when we thought we'd hit rock bottom we go even further. The silence from the top is conspicuous by it's presence, which collectively affects the fans/players/coaches etc. Everyone needs to pull together and that's starts with leadership from the top, ie the Chairman. The continued uncertainty about the new manager is clearly creating nervousness and needs sorting before we end up in the 1st Division-and it needs to be someone who will get immediate respect from players and fans alike. In addition, it's also catch 22 - high prices/garbage football = apathy & low crowds. Charge a flat £15 for the next home game and see what happens-I'll pay that but NOT £24 minimum. Surely the players need lifting as much as possible and this surely would be helped by a 25k + attendance?

Ian - Leeds
Can you please re-name this feature "Just Brolin". I think the way Leeds are playing and the over all attitude at the moment of everyone at the club including Carver is embarrassing. Where is the fire, Passion and ability to play decent football?????

Tim - Woodlesford
Obviously Brolin. Very concerned as we all are and would like a statement from Ken Bates immediately regarding the managerial position. We are, not for the first time with our club, left completely in the dark.

Luke
Omg Leeds are playing rubbish! what happened! to the way we used to play! if ken bates needs cheap players to play then why doesnt he get the fans to play? they would doo it for free and show alot more desire than was showed tonite! and the ticket prices should be reduced a fuull stadium has a great influence on the players! tonite was an absolute! discrace! i have lost the faith! when will it be restored?

MOZZAA-C
We should stick with Calver,he did not build this team, give him time and dont panic.

Dave Bennett - Keighley
I couldn't go to the game yesterday, being a student I can't afford the RIDICULOUS ticket prices currently at Elland Road. I have been to the two Carling Cup games this season and hopefully going to the next and I didn't go or try to go to Cardiff. I listened to yesterdays game on the Radio and I was nearly in tears at what I was listening to. I can't honestly see where Leeds are going apart from Division 1. Something HUGE needs to change and not anytime soon it needs to be NOW. Leeds fans have had more than their fair share of hurt. I have constantly said that Leeds will be back from all of this but now I'm not so sure. A 4-0 home defeat is a disgrace no matter who you are playing but to Stoke just can't be put into words or words not fit for this website. The players need to look at their roles in all of this and perhaps bring in a new kit, play in green and he might start scoring prolifically. Even if Curbishley or somebody of his calibre was to come in tomorrow we still wouldn't go up we have lost far too many games too early on, the only way we could reach the play offs is to go unbeaten for the remainder of the season which I can't see anybody doing with this team.

Colin Cooper
Hi again from Los Angeles So were struggling again, so what, our mighty whites will bounce back, Watford were in the same position last season and they got promoted. Its time to show everyone what we are, WE ARE LEEDS!!

Martin in Ireland
Against two ten men teams we have conceeded 6 goals. not john carver bring in curbs.

Steve
Give Carver the job the money and the backing to get us out of this mess Steve a Germany white

ciaran harvey
when leeds came back from 3-0 down @ southampton was "bremner".but when we lost in cardiff 2 watford was "brolin"

Andrew
Please, Please, no more Bremner or Brolin. Firstly the two names should never be mentioned in the same breath, secondly to be reminded of Brolin every match day is driving me and all I know mad. Please stop

young smithy
bremner!! leeds united back on top come on lads were all behind you!! marching on together

Jimmy Glass
I wish John Carver all the best, i have a good feeling that John will do well for Leeds ie 5 wins out of the next 6 matches

Mark Bogg
what is it with David Healy, world class against spain, in an international team on paper that isnt on a par with the quality of players at Leeds. yet Healy struggles lets all hope its a confidence issue for all the team. lets not forget that Bates saved this club and has been a relative recluse to what he used to be when at chelsea, we Leeds fans need to understand that without Mr Bates then there would no longer be a Leeds Utd. come on Super Leeds

mozzaa-c
brolin LEEDS fans who can't see the future is bright, now KB has gone,GET A GRIP,attacking football is on the way.I don't usually say thanks, for nothing, but here goes, thanks KB,FOR NOTHING.

Malcolm Meeson
Bremner: The cup match against Wigan. Brolin: Every match this season

Chris, Gildersome
What really worries me now is that Blackwell will think that everyhing is fine now that we have scored goals against Barnet! The football and tactics that I have reguilary witnessed at Elland Road for the past year has been woeful. Kevin HAS had money to spend and DOES have a good squad. How would he amange at Plymouth, Burnley or Branbsley? The missing ingredient is not luck but know how. We simply do not threaten defences. We aren't unlucky we just aren't clever enough in attack. We shouldn't let our judgement be clouded by our appearance in the play off final. For that we must be ever grateful to Billy Davies for motivating our players with his 'Job done' quote.

Fred, Castleford
So the truth is seemingly clear, Ken Bates cannot afford to pay off Mr Blackwell's 3 year contract he should never have been given in the first place, so we all have to suffer this disgrace even longer until he either quits or is chased out of Elland Road by the few remaining fans left. I suppose Blamewell will claim tonight a victory over Barnet is a turning point, I could cry. Just go for god's sake. A season ticket holder for over 20 years and very depressed

Phil, Wakefield
Blackwell needs to go. I am sick of listening to him making excuses about squad depth and available players. Look at the players he has let go on free and sold. walton scored today, pugh scored. Marlon King and Spring went into the premier league. There are some quality players that have been available to sign for next to nothing and all he has brought in is Horsefield and Stone. All journey men....I would not trust Blackwell with any money. His tactical knowledge is poor and i dont rate his motivation.

jamie turner,age 12
blackwell has always been a bad manager 4 leeds last year i watched most games bout 2 we were all over the teams the other games opposition were better

guy balderson
i would like to see one of the stand ~@ elland road to become billy bremmer stand it would be nice to see

Brian Yeadon
There is no doubt about it; Kevin Blackwell has done a tremendous job at Leeds. It is obvious though that he is now under a lot of pressure. He really needs the support of all the fans and if recent Radio Leeds interviews are anything to go by, he is going to struggle. For the second time this season after the Cardiff debacle his interview with Adam Pope was defensive and abrasive. He needs to realise that the media represent the public, the fans. Questions posed are the ones that the paying public would like to ask. Please don't patronise us by telling us that Leeds have played well and have simply been unlucky. 18,000 Leeds fans would disagree, the performance on Saturday clearly wasn't good enough and we need the Manager to acknowledge that, if only to reassure us that there will be improvement. If the manager can't accept that we were poor, then how on earth can we have any faith that things will improve? Against Crystal Palace and QPR, we were unlucky but the Cardiff game we got what we deserved. When Adam Pope asked about signings and the use of wide players, he was asking on behalf of all Leeds fans who had turned up and paid good money to see a below par performance. Kevin Blackwell should remember that, when he answers in such a dismissive and offensive manner. A lot of people desperately want to support the present Manager but please Kevin Blackwell don't alienate the few remaining fans. Sadly, once the mood to remove the Manager gains momentum it has a tendency to happen and that would set us back a season. I personally believe that Kevin Blackwell is close to leading Leeds back to where they belong and standing alongside Revie and Wilkinson as one of the all-time great Leeds Managers. The next 6 games though might prove crucial. The Leeds supporters have had to put up with a lot over the last five years and deserve better than the performance on the pitch on Saturday and the after match attitude from the Manager.

Andy Fisher
BROLIN .......BROLIN ........BROLIN !!!! I didn't manage to get to the Leeds game against Cardiff but my brother is a season ticket holder in the Kop and he rang me after the game to say how bad they were again !!! Time for O'leary to come back ?

Dave Bennett - Keighley
The players need to stop playing like Brolin and start playing like Bremner. We should never have sold Rob Hulse. I was worried before we sold him as with who came down it's going to be harder division and we've sold one of last season’s top scorers. I've never been a big fan of Kevin Blackwell and I think it's time for him to go. Ken Bates should bring down ticket prices, I think he is confused as to where Leeds is. Ken it's in West Yorkshire not London. Everyone I speak to recognises that there are more people in London with money than there is in West Yorkshire.

Mark Hutton
Its Definatly Brolin - Our Future Is Very Bleak At The Moment Kevin Blackwell Is Selling Our Future Carson, lennon, milner, Walton. Quality players Just Look At Lennon in the world cup sold on the cheap hulse went to sheff u and blackwell has no money to buy players? What’s going on at elland rd

Al Bryce - Selby
This was pure Roque Junior worse than Brolin - We are totally cursed and this manager has gone as far as he can. I have supported Leeds for over 40 years and have been in this situation before. He can't motivate he is so depressing our Jack Russell could do better. Its results not excuses that count Kevin.

John in Huddersfield
I wasn't at the Cardiff game, and I've not been for a while because I can't afford the rip-off ticket prices. I'd rather save for a holiday instead! From the sounds of things listening to the commentary on Radio Leeds it was an okay performance so it would be neither Bremner not Brolin, more like a Bremlin or Bromner! Today we were let down by individual errors again, and the person committing those errors was Matthew Kilgallon! I think Kevin Blackwell will have to drop him for the next game to send him a clear message that he needs to improve his concentration, because by my reckoning that is two games he has cost us points in so far this season. Leeds could do with a decent central defender and a decent midfielder to add to the squad. I also think a good left back is a priority.

Paul - Aberford
The way I see it is this season is simply a continuation of last season. No creativity in midfield, no sustained meaningful pressure just huff and puff, serious lack of chances on goal, no confidence at the back giving away stupid late late goals, lets face it, if it were not for a lucky win against norwich we would be down there with a point. We are simply not good enough and with only 18,000 turning up today and no transfer money available i am fearing it will be mid table championship football for quite a few seasons to come!

mark
bremner is a legend, brolin was an hasbeen, never ever mention the 2 in the same breath again, mind you he would fit in well now,get rid of blackwell and put the entire squad up for sale apart from stone and derry, bring in players who want to win and a manager they want to play for

RONNIE
How negative your Bremner Or Brollin is,who ever thought of this wants the sack.make no wonder kevin Blackwell was mad after the game with the intervieew, lets be positive only every leeds fan knows that even the name of thomas brollin is so so negative on our great club.please read this out 4 me on my beloved radio leeds.come on Kevin and the boys.Ronnie in Lancashire.

NORMAN STOKESLEY
we showed truegrit agaist preston home and away without dout a bremer momoet

STEVE TUCK
Bremner 55000 fans at cardif. Brolin knowing we will only get average 22000 at home all season. come on get out of armchair we are Leeds not bloody Chelsea

Matty Elrik
Bremner = leeds

sam douglass
although Bremner was a great player who was such an inspiration to the leeds united side he also left to go and play for " hull " ill say no more .

Paul
Its got to Bremner- the thought of a new season always leads to excitement & i'm sure that Kevin can put the one, the only Leeds United back where they belong

Michael Kirbitson
Bates should go.

Paul McRae
Bremner - the fact that we managed to eek out results last season which got us to the playoffs Brolin - the fact that we never really looked like running away with games and had we reached the Premier League would have come straight back down

Alan Parkinson
Brolin issued a statement that he would never play for Leeds again but was forced to withdraw it because it implied he ever did.

John Douglas
Bremner & Brolin??? How can we even mention the two in the same sentence!!! Billy will always be a legend & is the epitome of the Leeds United spirit... Brolin sadly seemed to be a little fond of Ginsters products to ever be fondly remembered in a Leeds shirt. Lets win the league by Xmas, put the haunting memories of Cardiff behind us. Mr. Blackwell: 6 players in, 6 out Sir. One too many shyed away from the task at hand when it mattered. Old Trafford & Stamford Bridge for next season thanks, not Colchester & Southend...

Jeff Newton - Perth - Australia
A BROLIN - The performance at Cardiff against Watford. Should have gone out and attacked instead of the safety safety approach . . ..

John
It staggers me that Brolin ever managed to get ON the list of Leeds' 100 best players!

Adam Walton
Totally BROLIN, how the team/squad forgot to turn up to the play off final! the supporters and fans showed there worth to leeds turning out in full support some even travelling thousands of miles just to watch a team with no pride passion or spirit! where did it go? we had it against preston in the semi! have the players even acknowledged the fans support? or even said sorry?

Frank Perkins
The way we almost took over in second spot and clinched automatic promotion was very tenacious and showed alot of fighting spirit - very reminiscent of Bremner. Our subsequent lacklustre form in the closing stages of the season, where we ended up falling down the league in almost total freefall, very Brolinish in my opinion!
