At, on and in with time
at
We use at with specific times.
- I wake up at 7am.
- Let's meet at midnight.
We also use at with these expressions:
- At the moment.
- At night.
- At the weekend.
on
We use on with specific days and dates.
- See you on Monday.
- I was born on 1st January.
in
We use in with longer periods of time, like months, years, seasons, decades.
- I was born in the 1990s.
- I came to the UK in January.
We also say 'in the morning', 'in the afternoon' and 'in the evening'.
