News
An active male role in the early stages of babies’ development produced better performance in cognitive tests by the age of two, researchers found. They say the findings show the value of early paternal involvement. Previous studies found that men tended to have a more stimulating, vigorous style, encouraging a child’s risk-taking and exploration tendencies, which, in turn, might facilitate cognitive development.

Well of course, mothers have an important role to play, but the research shows that a father’s involvement, which is on the rise, has its own benefits.

Really, paternal involvement’s on the rise?

네, paternal은 ‘아버지의’라는 뜻 입니다. 런던 대학과 세비야 대학의 연구에 따르면 1970년대에는 아버지가 아이들과 보내는 시간에 하루 5분에 불과했다고 합니다. 그럼 이제 문제의 정답을 공개해 볼까요? 같은 연구 따르면 현대 아버지들은 아이들과 하루에 약 35분정도 함께 시간을 보낸다고 하네요. 정답은 A) 였습니다.

Another false claim. I’m always exploring to learn new things by myself, and again, I didn’t spend much time with my father.

Sam
Stop lying to the audience Phil!

I think Sam has a point.

Phil
What do you mean? I’m always learning things by myself and solving all of my own problems.

Sam
No, you don’t. Whenever you come across a problem, the first thing you do is ask someone near you for an answer.

Phil
Yeah, and I actively look for answers!

Sam
Errg, I give up.
