Useful expressions 

1. dampen sales

Dampen sales ਦਾ ਮਤਲਬ ਹੈ ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਘੱਟਣਾ। Dampen ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਪਾਣੀ ਪਾਕੇ ਅੱਗ ਬੁਝਾਉਣਾ। ਸ਼ਬਦ ‘dampen’ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰ ਦੇ ਹਾਲਾਤ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸਣ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

2. uptick

Uptick ਦਾ ਮਤਲਬ ਹੈ ਛੋਟਾ ਵਾਧਾ। Uptick ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਆਮ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਬਿਜ਼ਨਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸਣ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

3. dull lustre

Lustre ਤੋਂ ਭਾਵ ਹੈ ਚਮਕ। ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਮਤਲਬ ਕਿਸੇ ਚੀਜ਼ ਲਈ lustre ਦਾ dull ਹੋਣਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਚਮਕ ਘੱਟ ਜਾਣਾ ਜਾਂ ਖਿੱਚ ਘੱਟ ਜਾਣਾ।
