Yes, yes. This other one I took at a dinner party in my flat.

Yes, with your flatmate Johnny.

My ex-flatmate "Dirty Socks" Johnny. He is out of the picture too.

"Dirty Socks" Johnny moved out. He used to leave his socks everywhere!

Oh, so you are no longer in touch with them.

Exactly. In English, when we say someone is ‘out of the picture’ we mean we don't count on them anymore. They are no longer involved in a particular situation.

ፊን ‘out of the picture’ “ከምስሉ ውጭ” የሚለውን አገላለፅ አንድ ሰው በቀድሞ ሁኔታው ውስጥ እንደማይገኝ ለመግለፅ የምንጠቀምበት አባባል መሆኑን ያብራራል። የፊን የቀድሞ የሴት ጓደኛ ፓሪስ ከሚገኘው ከአይፍል ማማ አጠገብ ባለው ፎቶ ውስጥ ብትኖርበትም፥ አሁን የሴት ጓደኛው ባለመሆኗ ከምስሉ ውጭ ‘out of the picture’  ናት። በራት ግብዣው ላይ የሚገኘው የፊን የድሮ ደባል ጆኒም ከቤት ስለወጣ ‘out of the picture’ ‘ከምስሉ ውጭ ነው’። አሁን በፊን ሕይወት ውስጥ ተሳትፎ የሌላቸው በመሆኑ ‘out of the picture’ ‘ከምስሉ ውጭ’ ናቸው።
