1) เราใช้ ‘used to’ เมื่อไร?
Used to ใช้สำหรับพูดถึงสิ่งที่เคยเกิดขึ้นเป็นประจำในอดีต แต่ไม่ใช่ในปัจจุบัน
• I used to play tennis when I was a child.
และเราใช้ ‘used to’ กับสถานะในอดีต ซึ่งไม่ใช่ในปัจจุบัน
• I used to live in New York.
2) จะแต่งประโยคโดยใช้ 'used to' ได้อย่างไร?
สำหรับประโยคบอกเล่า เราใช้ subject + used to + verb
- I used to eat meat.
สำหรับประโยคปฏิเสธ เราใช้ subject + didn’t use to + verb
- I didn't use to read books.
