Yes, you'll probably hear 'what can I get you'? Or they may say 'who's next?'

Now, it's time to order. You can say 'Can I have…' and then give your order.

Let's practise the pronunciation of that! Repeat after me: 'Can I have…'

మీరు ఆర్డర్ చేసే పదార్థం ఒక్కటే అయితే దానికిముందు 'a' అని చేర్చాలి. ఒకవేళ అది అచ్చు‌తో మొదలైతే 'an' అని చేర్చాలి.

That's right. Careful with pronunciation – so we say 'uh' and 'un'. So, 'Can I have a green tea?' 'Can I have an orange juice?' And remember to be polite, so what word do we need to add? That's right – It's please.

That's right – this is short for 'do you want to buy anything else'?

అవును. ‘అంతేనా? ఇంకా ఏమైనా కావాలా?’ అని వెయిటర్ అడుగుతున్నారన్నమాట.

If you don't want anything, just say 'that's all thanks'. Let's practise. Repeat after me:
