Let's start with the weather - a very common subject in English.

సరే, ముందు Sam ఎలా చెప్పారో విందాం. తరువాత ఆ నలుగురిలో మొదటి వ్యక్తి ఏమన్నారో కూడా విందాం. ఇద్దరూ ఒకేలా చెప్పారు. గమనించండి!

Ok, so we both started with an adjective: 'lovely' or 'terrible'.

Yes, and after 'lovely' and 'terrible'– or any other adjective you want to use – you can either put 'day' or 'weather'. And you can just stop there, can't you, Sam? 

Sam
Yes, or you can add the simple question 'isn't it?' at the end. Let's practise the pronunciation of both of those. Please repeat after me.

'Lovely day.'
'Terrible weather.'
'Lovely day, isn't it?'
'Terrible weather, isn't it?'

బస్సుల్లో ఎంత రష్ గా ఉంటుందో చెప్పారు. ఇందాక చెప్పుకున్నట్టు మన అభిప్రాయం చెప్పి ఊరుకుని అవతలి వాళ్ల స్పందనకోసం వెయిట్ చెయ్యొచ్చు లేదా అభిప్రాయం చెప్పాక అవునా? కాదా? అన్నట్టు ప్రశ్న అడగొచ్చు.

Yes, here they used 'aren't they?' instead of 'isn't it?' because 'buses' are plural. So we use 'are' with 'buses' but with 'day' and 'weather' we use 'is'. Quick practice! Repeat after me:

'The buses are always crowded.'

'The buses are always crowded, aren’t they?'

They asked 'How are things?', which is similar to asking 'How is everything?' These are all quite informal ways of asking 'How are you?' and we use them with people we know a little bit, usually, not with people we don't know.
