Associated with ખાસ કરીને શૈક્ષણિક અભ્યાસ વિશે વાત કરતી વખતે ઉપયોગમાં લેવામાં આવે છે. Associated with નો ઉપયોગ એ જણાવવા માટે થાય છે કે બે વસ્તુઓ વચ્ચે કડી છે. જોકે કડી વિશે માહિતી આપ્યા વગર. અહીં યાદ રાખવું જરૂરી છે કે આ નથી જણાવતું કે જે કડી છે તે સહજ કડી છે કે નહીં.

• Obesity associated with many health problems
• Social problems associated with high unemployment 

2. Wake up to

વાકેફ અથવા માહિતગાર થઈ જાવ એ લાક્ષિણક રીતે જણાવવા માટે wake up નો ઉપયોગ કરવામાં આવે છે. લોકો કંઈક વિશે જાગૃત થઈ જાય એ માટે પણ આનો ઉપયોગ કરવામાં આવે છે.

• Schools waking up to the potential of online learning

3. strike early

Strike early નો અર્થ થાય છે પહેલા હુમલો કરવું. આ સામાન્યતઃ રમત અને લશ્કરી સંદર્ભમાં કરવામાં આવે છે. સાથે-સાથે લાક્ષણિક રીતે આરોગ્ય વિષયો વિશે વાત કરવા માટે પણ ઉપયોગ થાય છે.

• Serious illnesses can strike early
• Captain tells team to strike early in order to win
