This timeline is intended as a means of navigating through the categories of the WW2 People's War archive. The archive was established to record the wartime memories of the people of Britain, so the emphasis is necessarily on the theatres of war where the Allies, particularly the British, were most involved. The archive should therefore not be regarded as a comprehensive account of World War Two.
