The programme features a the first performance of a special orchestration of Antón García Abril’s Canciones del Jardin Secreto (Songs of the Secret Garden) sung today by Zandra McMaster. Falla’s El amor brujo tells Gregorio Martínez Sierra’ story of an Andalusian Gypsy tale. The concert begins with Elgar’s Spanish inspired piece Sevillana, and is completed by Saint-Saëns’s Jota aragonese.
