Birmingham's canals, Gloucester's Cathedral and Warwick Castle are just some of the Midlands' best loved attractions. All have been shaped or created by man. Now the BBC is looking for your favourite man made wonders to be filmed for a new television series in Autumn 2005. 'Seven Man Made Wonders' will feature a selection of your favourite attractions from abbeys and architectural monuments to canals and cathedrals.
It couldn't be simpler to make your nomination and send it to the BBC. Using the email address, vote for your favourite man made wonder in your local BBC radio area:
* BBC WM (Birmingham) * Radio Coventry and Warwickshire * Radio Gloucestershire * BBC Stoke * BBC Shropshire * BBC Hereford and Worcester
We are keen to interview local people for the programme. Voting The nominations can range from ancient monuments and industrial marvels, such as bridges and canals, to medieval buildings and Victorian wonders. The only criteria is that the wonders must have been built or at least significantly shaped by man. But remember there's a cut-off point of 1900, so please don't vote for wonders from the 20th or 21st Centuries.
To get you thinking, we've selected just a few of the West Midlands' many man made wonders in the table opposite. Or why not come up with your own nominations? The search for West Midlands' wonders starts late August and ends in early September. How to nominate your wonder Send in your favourite wonder by email.
