Lady Anne Hopper - originally from Kent, trained in theatre and film. Anne gave the professional life a miss in favour of business and commerce, leaving a high-powered job in Fleet Street to move to Barrow due to husband Colin's promotion. Anne retired as a member of the BBC's staff last summer, though she continues to be heard on the station in a freelance capacity.
Anne produces and presents our Sunday afternoon music programme Anne Hopper's Music Box and has done so since September 1990.
The programme features 20th century popular music - from around 1920 with the arrival of the gramophone - to the early sixties - when the wireless gave way to the radio - when swing handed over to rock'n'roll.
What would Anne say is her most memorable 'radio moment'? I think it was in securing the very last radio interview that Guy Mitchell ever gave, just a few months before his death.
