Weymouth FC began 2007 with a new manager in the shape of Jason Tindall. ![]() Jason Tindall and Marcus Browning The 30-year-old former Cherries utility man took over the reigns at the Wessex Stadium after the sudden departure of Garry Hill. Despite cynicism over his lack of managerial experience from some quarters, he managed to secure a creditable mid-table position. And as well as changes at management level, there were more changes to come - in club ownership. New ownersFirst, Martyn Harrison handed the reigns over to music promoter and local man Mel Bush, who is also Tindall's father-in-law. Then last October, Bush decided to pass on the club to local businessman and property entrepreneur Malcolm Curtis. He's currently in the process of re-branding the club, and examining the options for the Wessex Stadium. Several former Bournemouth players came to join Tindall, but there is undoubtedly work to be done this season as the Terras face a battle to maintain their conference status. ![]() Weymouth FC squad 2007/2008 BBC Radio Solent will follow the action on 103.8FM, as well as regular live match commentaries here online along with post match interviews direct from the football ground.last updated: 16/02/2008 at 17:04 |
