Last year, ‘Money Mountain 2002’ (the station's 19th) generated £45,000, which was shared by two charities: SCALE (Sound Creation Advancing Learning and Education for Special Needs) got £13,000 for equipment to help children and adults with special needs to participate and enjoy sound activities with the aid of modern music technology.

The balance of the money went to When You Wish Upon A Star - a charity which aims to turn dreams into reality for children with life threatening or terminal illnesses.
