Wheels on Fire

WheelsWheels On Fire is the theme tune for the programme, sung by Julie Driscoll and Adrian Edmondson. A nice touch at the end of Birthday finds Patsy and Eddy belting out the song on the karaoke machine...

The lyrics for the song are -

Wheels on Fire
Rolling down the road
Best notify my next of kin
This wheel shall explode.

Music buffs should also see the entry Pet Shop Boys.

Whitfield, June

MotherThere’s really not enough space here to write about June Whitfield. The London-born, RADA-trained actress was a star of stage, screen, TV and radio long before Jennifer Saunders was born. She gained real prominence in Take It From Here in 1953 and went on to do, amongst other things, various Carry On films, Hancock, Terry and June and The News Huddlines. June's character in the show is Mother.

Watch our exclusive interview with June.
