Which events should I watch at the Winter Olympics?

If you're looking to support Team GB as they go for gold this February, then make sure you're watching as they'll be taking part in plenty of the events including Bobsleigh, Skeleton, Snowboarding, Figure Skating and lots more.

Particularly exciting athletes and events to watch out for include:

Snowboarding: Mia Brookes

Team GB says that Mia is the youngest world champion in the history of snowboarding. In 2023, when she was just 16 years old, she won slopestyle gold in a competition in Georgia, becoming Great Britain's first ever world champion in the event. She's certainly a rising star and an Olympic gold hopeful in Milan.

Ice Dancing and Figure Skating: Lilah Fear and Lewis Gibson

Here are two very familiar faces! Fans of Blue Peter will immediately recognise these two Team GB stars as mentors to Joel and Shini when they learned how to figure skate. Lilah and Lewis have the opportunity to win Team GB's first figure skating medal since 1994, and we'll be supporting them every skate of the way.

Skeleton: Matt Weston and Marcus Wyatt

Matt is a two-time and current reigning world champion in skeleton. He's ready to take on his second appearance at the Olympic Games with plenty of world cup medals since his Beijing appearance in 2022. Similarly, Marcus had achieved second place overall, just behind Matt in the World Championships making this pair solid contenders for the Olympic podium this year.

Bobsleigh: Team GB! 🇬🇧

Another Blue Peter favourite is the bobsleigh team, who will be putting Joel to the test at their training grounds in Norway. It's heart racing action, incredible high speeds and the event can be done solo, duo or as a full team of four. Make sure you're watching Blue Peter to see how Joel gets on with this epic challenge.
