How to get a Sport badge

Want to get your hands on the amazing limited edition Sport badge, designed by football legend Leah Williamson? Of course you do! Find out how to earn it now.

Try a new sport, tell us about your experience and answer our sporty questions. Then send a photo, video or some artwork showing us how you got involved with your new sport and apply for your awesome new Sport badge.

Sport badge application rules

To earn the Sport badge you have must:

  • Be between 5 – 15 years old.

  • Apply for your Sport badge online using My Blue Peter.

  • Ask your parent or guardian to set up a BBC child account so you can use My Blue Peter. Please remember your username and password, as you’ll need these to log in and request your ID card, once your badge has been issued. Please note: Each child applying for a badge via My Blue Peter need their own individual log in, for example a family with two children, will need two BBC child accounts for each child, so we can log their badges individually.

  • Ask your parent or guardian for permission to apply and ask them to read the Blue Peter Badges Privacy Notice.

  • Try a new sport, practice it three times for at least ten minutes and tell us all about it. Let us know why sport is important to you and which sporting heroes you’d love to see on Blue Peter.

  • Upload a photo or video of yourself taking part in your new sport, or create some artwork of yourself doing the activity.

PLEASE NOTE

When you attach a photo of yourself trying your new sport, make sure there are no other people in the photo, and you are not wearing your school uniform.

You can apply for the new design badge even if you already have a sport badge of another design, just get involved and try a new sport!

It can take up to 12 weeks for your badge to arrive, so please be patient!

The Blue Peter Sport badge was designed by none other than Leah Williamson, one of the biggest female football stars on the planet!

Leah captained the England National team to their historic Euro 2022 victory; and won both the Women's Super League title and FA Cup with her club Arsenal.
