What does "brain rot", Gen Z and Gen Alpha mean?
The term “brain rot” is Gen Z slang for content that’s silly, exciting, or just plain nonsense - the kind you can’t stop watching, saying, or laughing at.
“Brain rot” words are slang terms created and used mostly by Gen Z, often popping up in internet culture, group chats, and viral videos. If you’re not deep in the meme trenches, they can sound totally bonkers... but that’s part of the fun!
Generation Z, or Gen Z, is generally considered to be those born between 1997 and 2012. Maybe your older sibling is a Gen Z kid? If you're born between 2010 and 2024, you're likely to be Gen Alpha.
