How to make simple gingerbread biscuits at home
Impress your friends and family with some delicious gingerbread biscuits which are quick and easy to make. You can watch Great British Bake Off 2019 finalist Steph Blackwell's tutorial to make the perfect biscuit.
- 150g Cubed unsalted butter
- 175g Plain flour
- 85g Strong white bread flour
- 1 Large egg
- 50g Light muscovado sugar
- 50g Soft light brown sugar
- 25g Golden syrup
- 1/2 tsp Baking powder
- 2 tsp Ginger
- 1tsp Mixed spice
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- Cookie cutters (Christmas tree, gingerbread man, snowflake)
- Icing tubes
- Ribbon
- 1 Straw

What are gingerbread biscuits?
Gingerbread biscuits are sweet, spiced treats made with ginger, sugar, and syrup. They’re often cut into fun shapes like stars or gingerbread people or even houses and then can be decorated with colourful icing and sweets. You can be as creative as you like with decoration and they are perfect for some festive fun... and delicious!
