The 2026 UK tour cast opened Blue Peter with their iconic pop banger, Ex-Wives. The show opens with this song so that we can get to know each queen better and understand their story.
SIX The Musical is a fun, high energy pop musical inspired by the six wives of Henry VIII. Instead of being taught as a history lesson, the six queens form a girl group and sing about their lives... And see who had it worse with Henry!

Who are the six queens in the musical?

Catherine of Aragon was the first of Henry the VIII's wives.
They got married on 11th of June 1509. They had a daughter Mary I, but Henry became disappointed with Catherine when she did not provide him with a male heir.
Anne Boleyn was Henry the VIII's second wife.
Anne Boleyn and Henry VIII had a daughter, Elizabeth I, but Henry VIII was again disappointed she failed to produce a male heir and had also fallen in love with Jane Seymour.
Jane Seymour was Henry the VIII's third wife.
They were only married for just under a year and a half and Jane is best known as the mother of Edward VI, Henry’s long-awaited son and heir.
Anne of Cleves was Henry the VIII's fourth wife.
This marriage was short, only lasting six months before Henry VIII changed his mind about how much he liked Anne of Cleves!
Catherine Howard was Henry the VIII's fifth wife.
Even though Henry VIII was very much in love with Catherine, he was much older than her and she was very unhappy in her marriage and was not in love with the King.
Catherine Parr was Henry the VIII's sixth wife.
She proved to be a kind wife who looked after Henry when he was ill and was a good stepmother to the king’s three children, Mary, Elizabeth and Edward.
