The Jane Austen Experience
The Jane Austen Exhibition is a family-friendly attraction that sees visitors immerse themselves in the world of Austen's novels and discover all there is to know about the life of one of England's most beloved authors and the city that inspired her the most.

With the mission 'To inform, entertain, and make every visitor happy', a visit to the Jane Austen Centre begins with a 20-minute Introductory Talk conducted by a costumed actor, after which visitors may explore the immersive Exhibition where they will find opportunities to write with authentic quill and ink, don Regency attire, play parlour games straight out of the novels, and a chance to see up close our specially commissioned Jane Austen waxwork model.
