There's been further snow and disruption today, mainly in parts of the south and west with showers falling as hail or sleet in some coastal areas.

More sleet and snow is expected over the next 24 hours.

At the moment, it looks like the south east will be worst hit with an amber warning in force until 9am Wednesday morning.

2-5cm of fresh snow is likely, with 10cm or more possible, especially on higher ground.

Tonight sleet and snow will spread into Monmouthshire, Powys and towards Wrexham.

The west should escape and with temperatures falling as low as -2 and ice will once again be a hazard.

Tomorrow most of the snow will be on the eastern side of Wales including Powys with further accumulations.

The snow is expected to turning lighter through the day. The west will be drier and brighter in places with top temperatures between 0 and 4 Celsius.

Thursday should be dry apart from the odd light snow flurry.

The end of the week looks set to bring a change as fronts move in from the Atlantic bringing rain and stronger winds. Temperatures will also rise with a thaw of lying snow.
