Diet pills to builders: X-Ray is back

X-Ray is almost back on air. The atmosphere in the office? Well, I’d best describe it as quietly intense.

The weeks before we’re on air are more of a slow burn. As soon as we’re on air, the team are full throttle.

Back in production, we’ve been getting the word out that we’re here, ready to help with your consumer issues. Pretty much straight away viewers were getting in touch.

It makes me realise how often people reach the end of their tether trying to get answers from companies, dealing with rogue builders, and how desperate some people feel when they’ve been ripped off by unscrupulous individuals.

That’s what makes all of us on X-Ray even more determined to fight on your behalf. And we get real satisfaction when we get results. Making that call to someone who’s got in touch to tell them their problem is sorted, they’ve got their money back and then hearing their relief – well, it’s what drives us.

This series we’ll be looking at a whole range of issues, from builders to pension schemes, the food we eat and how it’s sold and labelled, diet pills, and cars that breakdown within days of leaving the garage.

Our camera crews have been out filming across Wales, and there are some great results in the bag.

So if you’ve had a consumer nightmare, remember we’re here for you, just get in touch.

X-Ray is back on air 6October, 7.30pm BBC One Wales
