It’s not just disgusting. It’s dangerous. We may not think much about our waste – but if it was seeping through your home?

X-ray viewers who had a flood of sewage in their new home
Tonight we’re meeting X-Ray viewers who bought a brand new property, their dream home, shortly before they got married. They’d lived there less than two years, when one day, after one of them had taken a shower, they found their toilet overflowing, raw sewage spreading through into their hallway. They said it was just disgusting, absolutely horrific.
Despite continuing problems, the couple tried not to let it put a dampener on everything. The couple married and went away on honeymoon. But they came home to find that a water pipe in the flat above had burst. The block had to be evacuated, it was uninhabitable, and the newly weds couldn’t go home.
A whole six months later they’re still in rented accommodation. A battle is going on between the builders and management company over who is actually responsible. As they point the finger at each other, our viewers are becoming increasingly desperate, paying a mortgage on a home they can’t even live in.
Tonight I’ll be talking to our expert, to find out exactly who is to blame here, who should be sorting it out and what can be done.
