Porthmadog in Gwynedd recorded 29°C three days in a row last week but we've seen the last of the hot and humid weather for a while. Temperatures this week will be closer to the seasonal average or above, warmest in the southeast and it will feel fresher and less humid than recently and more comfortable for sleeping at night.

I know some people such as farmers and gardeners wouldn't mind a drop of rain to freshen up the parched land after the recent hot spell but I can't promise much, if any over the next few days.

A weak front will move southeast on Tuesday bringing a little rain or drizzle to the north and west, otherwise we’re in for more dry weather. However, there are signs it will turn more unsettled later in the week, with a trough of pressure bringing some rain and heavy showers on Friday and Saturday.
