You can count on one hand how many real superstars we have as a country. I'm just back from Belgium, having seen one of them play this weekend. Wynne Evans is up in London today speaking to another whose status gives Gareth Bale a bit of work to do.

The girl from Tiger Bay is back. Dame Shirley Bassey has recorded her first new material in five years and will be telling Wynne all about it, plus much more on this Friday's Big Welsh Weekend at 3.30pm.

It's fair to say the current Welsh rugby team will elevate to superstar status should they do on Saturday what no Wales side has done since 1972 – beating the All Blacks. Perhaps the Fiji performance was about lulling New Zealand into a false sense of security? Perhaps. Find out on Radio Wales Sport at 5pm on Saturday with a chance to Call Rick O'Shea afterwards.

Elsewhere this week, Roy Noble's joined by the one and only Katherine Jenkins on Sunday morning at 9.30am. Later that day, Aled Jones speaks to former CBBC presenter Andi Peters at 1pm; and Lynn Bowles speaks to film director Iain Johnstone at 2pm.

Barry's Denim Snakes are the Radio Wales Artist of the Week. You can hear their new song, 21, across the output. They join Paper Aeroplanes and Eric Unseen - former winners of the aforementioned accolade – on the Radio Wales Playlist, along with Take That and The Script. Ooh, and the odd few plays of Band Aid 30 – although I do know it's not Christmas Time just yet!

Finally, well done to everyone involved in helping raise a staggering £1.3 million in Wales for Children in Need last week. Jason Mohammad's listeners wanted to hear him eat all manner of undesirable food which helped boost that total. If you want to watch the Nosh or Dosh challenges, they're on our Facebook page.
