Sun cream and brollies

Derek Brockway

The sun cream will come in handy this week but keep an umbrella handy as well!

Tonight will be dry apart from the odd isolated light shower in the north and with plenty of clear spells it will turn cool. In mid-Wales the temperature will drop as low as 4 or 5°C in the countryside.

Tomorrow looks to be a good day thanks to a ridge of high pressure. It's looking dry and sunnier than today and it will turn out warmer too with light winds. Top temperatures will reach 17 to 21°C.

Wednesday will start dry and bright with some sunshine but during the day it will cloud over with some rain in the north and west with low cloud and hill fog. The southeast may stay dry and bright.

Thursday will start cloudy with a little rain in the north but during the day it should become dry and brighter from the south and it will feel humid. Temperature highs will be 16 to 21°C with a west to southwesterly breeze.

On Friday the remains of ex-tropical storm Bill will be over the Atlantic southwest of Iceland. It is not heading our way, but a cold front will move east across the UK bringing some showery rain. This should clear with a fine and dry day expected on Saturday.
