The fine weather over the Easter weekend continues for most of Wales for the rest of this week.
Monday and Tuesday were Wales' warmest days of the year so far - especially for the border counties, with temperatures nudging 20°C in Usk, Monmouthshire and 19°C in Llandrindod Wells. But it wasn't the case everywhere - sea mist pegged back the temperatures along parts of the coast. It was just 9°C on Tuesday in Pembrey and Mumbles.

Wednesday had a chilly start - early mist and fog took a while to clear, even lingering along the coast. The strong spring sunshine has burnt the mist back, turning into another dry, bright and warm day across Wales. There will be variable cloud with sunny spells developing - where we get the sunshine longest, temperatures will respond, rising into the mid and possibly high teens again. Temperatures of 14-18°C are possible across most of Wales.
High-pressure dominates this week, so things stay settled. Later on Wednesday and into Thursday, the centre of the high pressure moves to the east of the UK with south-easterly winds. These will bring in drier air from the continent introducing subtle changes and leading to less mist and fog developing overnight. The nights will however stay chilly at 4-8°C.
On Thursday there will be less mist around, so sunshine will develop more quickly, and those drier south-easterly winds will introduce warmer air from the Mediterranean. Temperatures reach the high teens more readily right across Wales, with 16-20°C possible.
Friday will be mostly fine, dry and warm again, though breezier with a small chance of a shower. It will cloud over from the west later in the day, signalling the arrival of a weak cold front, which pushes in from the Atlantic later on Friday and into Saturday.
So enjoy this fine weather while it lasts - it's looking a bit cloudier, cooler and windier at least for the start of the weekend.
