The last eight months, December to July, have been warmer than average but it's all change for the start of August.
Low pressure is heading our way bringing a cooler and wetter spell of weather; some heavy rain and showers, especially in north and west Wales with a Met Office warning in force on Saturday.
Tomorrow will be mostly cloudy with showers or longer spells of rain. On Saturday the north will be wet but the rain should gradually ease. Further south, it should be drier and brighter with a few showers.
Sunday promises to be a better day overall. Any showers in the north will clear, otherwise there will be sunny spells and it will be dry apart from the odd light shower; temperatures 17 to 20°C with a westerly breeze.

So not great weather if you're on holiday but some welcome rain for the gardens, allotments and crops over the next couple of days or so.
Sunday is likely to be the best day of the weekend with some sunshine.
Next week, sunny spells and a few showers; warmest in the south and east with above average temperatures. During Wednesday it looks like a front will move slowly east bringing some rain.
