What’s this? A blog? About South By Southwest? From The BBC?
Well yes, but if you’re still a little confused here’s some quick explanation:

If the word ‘blog’ looks like I’ve misspelt something then have a look here, and if you don’t know what the BBC is, well we’re famous for things like this, and this.
So why SXSW? Well it’s March, in the UK, and outside it will probably be grey and cold and windy and wet for at least 30 of March’s 31 days. At the same time in sunny Austin, any lucky music fan that makes it will get the chance to fight it out with hundreds of A&R men, scenesters and music journos to catch the first glimpse of what will soon become your new favourite band.
We’ll do our best to keep you in the know, whether its official news from the festival, updates from our rather knowledgeable music people, interviews with some of the artists or just a look at what some of the other bloggers are talking about…
Join us, and we can all bask in the glory of saying “I prefer their early stuff”.
