Goodbye Peter

Peter Andre has become the ninth celebrity to leave Strictly 2015. The Australian singer and TV personality with pro-partner Janette Manrara found themselves at the bottom of the Leader Board on Saturday night after scoring 31 for their American Smooth to Jackie Wilson’s ‘Sweetest Feeling’ and coming last in the Quickstep-a-thon.

On Sunday Peter and Janette found themselves up against Kellie and Kevin in the dreaded Dance Off, and with all the Judges unanimously voting to save the EastEnders’ star and the dancer from Grimsby, it was time to say goodbye to the boy from Down Under.

On leaving the Strictly Ballroom Peter kept a smile on his face and was magnanimous to the end, saying;

“It’s been nothing but joy and we have come so far. Like I said before there is no shame in leaving, we are so grateful. I love everybody. Thank you.”

And his dance partner Janette added;

“I definitely have made a friend for life, we got on straight away. He worked so hard in rehearsals, we had ups and downs and pushed through them.”
