Leaderboard: Semi-Final

The Strictly Semi-Final saw all five of our remaining couples pulled out all the stops to fight for a place in the Grand Final.

With two routines for each couple meant there was two chances to impress the judges and a total of 80 points up for grabs. Topping the board, dropping only one point in total was Alexandra and Gorka with a total of 79 out of 80. Darcey placed her confidence in Alexandra’s abilities with an outrageous proposition, “If you don’t get to to the final, I’m going to do something… I’m going to wear your (Bruno) speedos.” Following closely in joint second was Joe and Katya and Debbie and Giovanni with a joint score of 70. With the Judges wowed by Katya’s daring choreography. Shirley said, “You pushed the boundaries, you were spectacular.”

Despite getting their highest score of the series (32) for their Waltz, Mollie and AJ found themselves at the bottom of the leaderboard with a total score of 56. Mollie was criticised for not being in time with AJ in their first dance, the Samba. Bruno said, “You missed the flight to Brazil. AJ was in Rio, you were stuck at the airport.”
