Our very own doctor has landed on Strictly today, with the announcement on our official Twitter feed that actress Sunetra Sarker aka Zoe Hanna from Casualty is our seventh celebrity.
Sunetra is best known for her role as Dr Zoe Hanna in BBC One’s popular medical drama Casualty. Prior to joining the series, Sunetra has starred in a host of well-loved programmes including ‘Doctor Who’, ‘Brookside’ and ‘No Angels’ before joining Casualty in 2007.
Sunetra said: “I don't quite know what I've let myself in for... I'm in total denial! But the chance to swap my stethoscope for sequins was just too tempting. I am very excited to be part of the Strictly team!”
