Goodbye Jeremy
Sadly we’ll never see Jeremy being lowered from the Blackpool Ballroom ceiling on an electric guitar, as he became the seventh contestant to leave Strictly after facing Jamelia in the dreaded Dance Off.
Jeremy and Karen’s Quickstep to ‘Going Underground’ by The Jam landed the duo at the bottom of the Leader Board with a score of 21, despite promising comments from Bruno who said he admired Jeremy’s “determination and resilience.” Len added there will be “a lot of fun and entertainment missing” if Jeremy failed to make it to the Tower Ballroom next week.
Despite achieving the same score as last week, Jeremy was optimistic after his performance and said he felt him and Karen were “holding steady in a very tough field.”
Jeremy entered the Dance Off for the first time and dug deep for a second performance of his Quickstep in a final bid for Blackpool. Despite his efforts, the Judges all opted to save Jamelia.
Speaking of his time on Strictly, Jeremy spoke fondly of his dance partner Karen and dubbed her “the best dancer, the best teacher and the best friend.” Karen added: “You are amazing, your dedication and your love for what we all love to do has been absolutely amazing.”
It’s safe to say that the Strictly celebs are going to miss Jeremy’s enthusiasm… not to mention the weekly Friday night Eggheads game! Find out what they had to say after the news of his departure in this exclusive video.
