Results Show: Week Two

After two weekends of spectacular Strictly live shows, we have arrived at the first results show of the 2015 series. A night that all of our 15 amazing celebrities have been dreading ever since the launch show way back at the start of September. And that feeling of impending doom is because they know that two couples will end up battling it out in the dreaded Dance Off, before one plucky pair is sadly eliminated from the competition.

Saturday’s show saw a host of fantastic performances, with Jay and Aliona’s Waltz receiving a stunning score of 31 from the Strictly Judges, the highest of the night. Peter and Janette’s fun-packed Quickstep was another high scorer with 30, which combined with their score of 30 carried over from Week One puts them top of the leader board once again.

But down at the bottom others struggled. Iwan and Ola’s Cha Cha was universally criticised, scoring 13, the lowest score of the series so far and putting him bottom of the board. Jeremy and Karen’s quirky American Smooth scored only 17, leaving him perilously just above Iwan.

But the scores are only half of it, and it now comes down to how you voted, and very soon we’ll find out which two couples are heading for the Dance Off.

Before that moment we have got an amazing group dance with our fabulous Pro-dancers, which you will be able to watch in spectacular 360 degrees on Youtube and Facebook.

We also have the legend that is Rod Stewart performing his brilliant new single ‘Please’ in the Strictly Ballroom.

So close your curtains, strap yourself in and get ready for more drama and entertainment than you could possibly need on an autumnal Sunday night in October.

Remember you can let us know which couple you think might be saying goodbye this evening and which pairing did particularly well in Saturday’s show by commenting on this blog.

And don’t forget you can keep up to date with all things Strictly on our Facebook, Twitter, Vine and Instagram account.
