Iwan Thomas leaves Strictly

Former Olympic athlete and sports presenter Iwan Thomas has become the first celebrity to leave Strictly Come Dancing 2015.

During Saturday’s show Iwan, with pro-dancer Ola Jordan danced a lively Cha Cha to LMFAO’s ‘Sexy And I Know It’.

But despite some brilliant breakdancing and a revealing open shirt from Iwan, the Judges were less than impressed and scored it a low 13, with Len saying “I don’t know what I saw down there on the dance floor, but I don’t want to see it again”.

Unfortunately for Len he did have to watch their routine again as Iwan and Ola found themselves in the dreaded Dance Off alongside popstar and Loose Women presenter Jamelia and her partner Tristan MacManus. They found themselves there despite scoring a healthy 21 for their raunchy Cha Cha to the Pussycat Dolls ‘Don’t Cha’ on Saturday.

After both couples had performed their routines a second time there was a unanimous decision from Craig, Bruno and Darcey to save Jamelia and Tristan, with Head Judge Len Goodman telling Tess that he agreed with their decision.

Iwan was visibly gutted to be going home saying;

“I’ve loved every minute of it! Thank you Judges and to the contestants, you have all been so nice I’m going to miss you all. I don’t want to go home.”

Paying tribute to his pro-partner Ola, Iwan went on to say;

“I’ve loved training with you, it’s been amazing! Believe it or not, I was getting slightly better each day.”
