Tonight at 7pm on BBC One our seven remaining couples will be dancing LIVE for the judges scores, and your votes at home, in the hope of staying in the competition for another week.
Will there be any wardrobe malfunctions or illegal lifts? Who knows?! But stay right here to get all the gossip and backstage pictures from the ballroom...
Anita: "He really is my knight in shining armour"
Artem: "There was a lot of Foxtrot in it!"
Alex: "James is upset, he didn't think we were marked fairly"
Robbie: "It's a while since I've has the legs out"
Chelsee: "Craig said I was fabulous and I can't thank him enough"
Jason: "There were a couple of rough edges but overall we're happy."
Harry: "Three 10s - we're a little bit overwhelmed"
I agree with you Annie and although the couples have said how much they enjoyed the atmosphere at Wembley last week but at the same time I think most of them were overawed by the occasion and this had a negative effect on their dancing last week.
Despite the competition nearingit's end I am expecting all the couples (with the exception of maybe Anita) to perform closer to their potential. Just hope Holly and Chelsee are well enough to perform and (if they are) that their illness won't have a negative effect on their performances. Also a bit nervous about whether Artem is still willing to risk his health and their place in the competition by performing an illegal lift in their foxtrot.
Hi Annie - yes I'm so glad we've put the horror of Wembley behind us and can get back to 'business as usual'.
My money is on Chelsee - she's the only one that's really knuckled down and learned all the ballroom steps and then presented them with skill and a bit of daring on the night - OK she did falter a bit with her perceived 'wardrobe malfunction' (dreadful phrase by the way) but we can forgive her for that.
I would back Harry, but he, or is partner, is too obsessed with showing off and not presenting anything like enough content. I'm sorry but 8 bars in hold for a tango simply doesn't cut it. However, his quickstep, which we saw being demonstrated at the end of Friday's ITT does look much more to the mark so perhaps he's stepping up his game, listening to the criticism and responding accordingly... we'll wait and see.
Jason is just a bit inconsistent even if he is a hard worker and Alex could be something of a dark horse, coming up on the rails, so to speak unnoticed.
An here's a plea to tonight's posters. Anyone out there that's actually done some competitive ballroom dancing and knows exactly what judges both score highly for and mark down for? I'd love to see an alternative set of marks based on what the dances would get in a real ballroom dancing competition as opposed to SCD in which marks are still skewed towards the entertainment factor.
But... now we're this close to the final, perhaps they'll get a bit tougher and mark the actual dance... let's wait and see!
Hi all. I'm new tommentso this. Can anyone tell me how to show the latest comments without constantly hitting the refresh button? Step - by - step help would be appreciated. (Old Numpty at this end).
Sorry. (Should have read)! Hi all. I'm new to this so this. Can anyone tell me how to show the latest comments without constantly hitting the refresh button? Step - by - step help would be appreciated. (Old Numpty at this end).
Woof peeps, Jim, click 1the time stamp of the last message. So that is At (time stamp in purple) 26th Nov 2011, and it'll refresh bit bring you back to that message and you'll see the new one below.
Evening peeps! Brunoslovechild, could not agree more - thank goodness back to normality, hope it is a lot better tonight. Bye the way, just heard about Robin, best of luck Anita and Brendan and hope Robin gets better soon. Should be very interesting tonight me thinks folks.
Evening everyone. Yes blc great to be back to normal. My ancient ears couldn't cope with last weeks echo. Two from Robbie, Anita and Holly in the bottom two this week I think although I feel Jason has lost some of the support he started with. Barring disaster, Harr,y Chelsee and Alex should be safe.
Fourteen ,Dfer's lucky number. What we need is less experimentation and more quality then the entertainment follows. I thin the scd producers is like Roman Abramovich at Chelsea. He was Barca type attacking football, excitement lots of goals and what happens is Chelsea loses a lot. If though you base your ethos oh a strong defence and focus on the basics of ball winning, yes you'll get 1 nils but the fans will always cheer any victory and you'll find the 5 and 6 nils just come naturally. Stop trying to force the entertainment, don't guild the lily, don't paint the white roses red, and will have a spectacular show.
Evening All - looking forward to following the action from your comments as i am stuck at work.....boo hoo.... Would anyone like a Roses chocolate? ....passing them round :-)
Hi Stuart. Just read your original post and I agree with your comment on how the scores have been angled but it is around this time that the judges do start to get tougher with the couples and even if the marks handed out don't get tougher the comments will.
My mind goes back to this stage of series 4. Emma & Darren opened up with a cha cha cha (for which they got 30 - 9 of those points from Bruno while the others dished out 7s) but the comments from certainly Craig, Arlene and Len weren't as positive as they were before so 7s no longer mean you get good comments.
I certainly feel that we will see a more serious side to the dancing now that Russell has gone although because of his weakness at latin don't be suprised if we see some samba entertainment from Robbie.
hi kicksnflicks, gosh no, that would be greedy of me - sharing all chocs (except the orange creams as they are my favourites) would you care for a caramel?
This producer is about as subtle as a sledge hammer. They're coming out all guns blazing says Tess. Cue Wild West shoot-out actions and Magnificent Seven backing track. Ye gods. It's like an American film where they put Paris:France as a subtitle. Please BBC, can you give us our original Strictly back. This is for kids. It's terrible.
Yes, just in time, all set for this evening. The teddy on the couch has emptied his jar with honey and has all his numbered pallets ready for a proper decent old fashioned evening Strictly.
Hiya....well we were all right on the subject of the BBC not taking any notice of us on here. Nothing (that I heard) was said about our comments slating the Wembley show!!! BBCStrictlyJames...are you able to be honest and tell us whether our comments are even seen by anyone on the show???
Already fed up - start of programme accomodated people with attention spans of about 2 seconds. I had to cover the screen with my hand over my face to stop the flashing and fast-changing pictures.
Will the BBC PLEASE understand that the viewers of SCD on BBC1 DON'T have problems with attention problems. If we did we'd be watching another channel.
I have no hope that anyone who can do anything about this will a). Read this and b). do something about it.
Hello Peeps: Oooh I like the pressing the time stamp game ! Lets hope its a good show, so much better than last week ! Didn't they do well..............
It is certainly cheeky but it also seemed a very safe Cha Cha Cha. I would have expected maybe 1 or 2 more risks particularly at this stage of the competition
Judges seem to think we can't score lower than 7 just because scores must go up as the competition progresses, instead of scoring what they actually see. It like scoring on rails, can't deviate, because the tracks are already laid down.
I think that score ties in with what I was saying about Emma & Darrens score. A week or 2 ago Craig would have been more positive having awarded a 7 (and the same for Alesha) but this time the comments were tougher. A bit nervous about Artems choreography for this foxtrot
oh dear. A bit pedestrian and was it just me or did much of that dance have very little to link it to the song. Probably more Artem's fault than Holly's.
Holly, what a terrrible sonf for a foxtrot. I wouldn't be able to dance to that and for me it shows in their dance. We did not enjoy this. Let's forget it. The teddy on the couch gives: 7
Certainly a very showbiz routine and very well performed but I can't help but feel that song detracted from it. The music was too quick for a foxtrot and hearing a song with someone screaming was a big turn off. Craig and Len have just summed up my comments on the track
Sorry folks, but another totally ghastly dance. Holly looking matronly in a colour that doesn't suit her, poor standard of dancing, no chemistry, awful. And the music - well, what can I say?
Holly not involved I meant. Holly's performance just lacked something, no atmosphere. Listening to Len but I thin he is on to something. I could but my paw on it but Holly lacked something some kind of presence, Dfer donno.
Anybody else of the opinion that despite the fact that we are three-quarters of the way through the Series, there has not been one stand-out dance. The standard is abysmal and judges scores and comments for Holly show they are still on Planet Wembley. That's Wembley - it was such a marvellous show - Wembley
Ok enough! Holly and Artem were amazing but as USUAL not traditional enough for LEN! ENOUGH it's time for LEN to GO!!! Get a more modern judge who appreciated evloution!
I THINK ALESHA NEEDS TO TAKE A JUDGING COURSE SHES GIVEN TO MANY TENS OUT AND TBH SHE HAS NO IDEA WHAT SHE'S TALKING ABOUT :/ SHAME REALLY :O NEW JUDGE PLEASE
dear me, it sounds like all the dances so far have been quite poor!
I agree, btw, that more traditional music is a far better choice as it gives the correct atmosphere and beat for the appropriate dance - some of the music choices over the last few weeks have been very misguided in my humble opinion.
Dfer stopped criticising the judges score from now on, the are scoring to an agenda, going higher each week to some kind of schedule, that is clear so best just to ignore it.
A wee too twee for me this routine with Alex but some character coming out at long long last. Fun and sassy. I think she forgot a step at the start but it didn't seem to phase her. Dfer 7

I agree, btw, that more traditional music is a far better choice as it gives the correct atmosphere and beat for the appropriate dance - some of the music choices over the last few weeks have been very misguided in my humble opinion.
