The Wembley show is here! Over 6,000 fans will get to see Strictly like never before, and this week's show celebrates the best of British. The stage is set for one of the best episodes of Strictly Come Dancing ever!
Our eight remaining couples are working hard and rehearsing on the arena dancefloor. As ever, we are right there amongst the action to capture all the backstage gold...
Wembley before the show
This is just behind the main stage at Wembley
Waiting patiently backstage before the rehearsal
All lined up for the staircase entrance at rehearsals
The stage is set!
Everyone is in place
Alex and James setting up for their dramatic rehearsal
Anita and Robin in their brilliant rehearsal
It's true...Harry has his shirt open again
Holly and Artem in their #scd rehearsal if you can see them. This place is HUGE!!
Chelsee and Pasha shimmying their sequins off in their rehearsal
Jason and Kristina. Phew such a fast jive at rehearsals
Robbie and Ola at the start of their energetic rehearsal
don't forget to have FUN tonight! If you look like you're having fun on the dance floor the whole impression will get that extra little boost and that might even shove you up to the next point if the judges are ambivalent between two points what to give you. :)
Best of luck - so not envious of you performing and competing on Wembley.... If it were me I would've been a nervous wreck... :) I'm sure you will all do just fine though. Nerves tend to have that result - getting you into the mind set "I WILL get through it and it WILL be good!"... :)
Go Team Hali & Team Brollytem - very much looking forward to see your routines!
Surely Russell should go this weekend? He's been great fun but it's not fair that he should stay at the expense of Alex, Robbie or Anita? Who do you think will win the whole series, people?
Agree Russell should go. How come the judges never comment on his dancing, always on his impact? When the public keep a non dancer in (i.e. John S and Anne W) they always complained it was a Dance Contest. Russell doesn't even point his toes, and seems to dance the same routine no matter what music or type of dance he should be doing. There is a blatant bias this year, he has to go, no matter how "lovable" (not!) he is
What a mistake to stage SCD at Wembley!! The arena was far too big. Half the time the dancers were so small on the screen it was hard to see them dance properly. The audience was far too raucous with all the screaming and shouting so it was difficult to hear the judges' remarks.
when will the camera crew realise that we need to see the dancers tonight they are moving the cameras so fast you cant see and they are not giving a good view of them dancing either
I also think wembley was far too big couldn"t enjoy the dancing the camera was too far away sometimes the dancers were dots in the distance and other times the camera was moving too quickly. Not good for tv viewing.Russel must this week.
Did not enjoy the Show last night. Dance floor far to large. Most of the time the cameras was to far away from the dancers. None of them did particularly well on this huge floor
Is the Show not in danger of becoming the "Russell Grant Show" He did not even attempt to dance last night - an absolute farce He has to go now
Only good thing about last night's show was the £102.000 raised for Children in Need
I did not enjoy the show tonight. What a waste of licence payers money transporting all that stuff to Wembley for something that was far inferior to the normal show. The dancing was much worse this week from all the dancers as the dance area was far too big in my opinion. What those people at the back saw begs belief.
Leave well alone BBC get back in the studio to the more intimate atmostphere. Go to Blackpool if you want because it is at least geared up to dancing.
These are the views of an avid fan who has followed the programme from the beginning as I love to watch the DANCING. Please get rid of all the silly bits you are getting the pros and celebs to do. If you need more time in between dances lets have more time for the judges' opinions and the dancers in training.
Well done all the dancers for their efforts last night especially my favourites Chelsee and Pasha. Time for Russell to go, althought I do love Flavia.
I also did not enjoy the Wembley show last night, especially the group dance at the beginning. There was too much going on and I found all the flashing light beams distracting and unpleasant to look at.
All the couples did well, given the enormous space they had to cope with, but not as good as in their usual venue. Even the orchestra sounded bad and usually they are so good.
Big is not always best, but I suppose the fact that a lot of money was raised for Children in Need is some compensation.
Great show , but can someone explain how in a dance contest you can get a 9 when you stand still , come on the biggest no-no is to forget your steps and stand still waiting to catch up and Jason still gets two 9's . Maybe he should just sit and whistle next time and see if he gets four 9's . It is now obvious who the judges want.
The sound was awful, the stage too big and the camera moving too fast. I love Strictly, but I had to turn off. No atmosphere like there usually is. Very disappointing.
Hi everyone, well what a great show from Wembley last night, thought they all did very well for dancing in a very big arena, when they are just used to the studio, I felt sorry for Jason and Kristina, poor Jason went wrong at the end of hes dance, but he was great, thought Chelsee and Pasha were brilliant, Im pleased that Artem was able to dance with Holly, it was realy excellent of Brendon to step in last week and partner Holly and would of done yesterday had Artem not been able to dance, congratulations to Holly and Artem back together dancing, I think that Russel and Flavia will go home tonight, its getting to the point where there are some very good dancers still left in the competition, I think bottom 2 will be Russel and Flavia and Robbie and Ola, think its time for Russel to leave the show, hes done remarkably well though, he does put in 100% each week, but the excellent dancers need to be kept in, will mail her tomorrow with my opinion of the one sent home take care everyone, looking farward to the results show tonight christine
