Team Savola are my favourite team in the competition although to be honest I love all the couples, but I think it's nice to see Robbie's vunerable side, I used to love watching him play football to find out what trouble he would get into but I had no idea he could be so charming! Well done on all your dances last weekend was my favourite, oh and I forgot to say your little boys are adorable!!

I'm wonderig what the "make or break" (apparently mentioned by Robbie in an interview) ending for the Paso will be - hopefully no potential injury!!

I think Robbie has really got into the spirit of the show and at least is a true beginner unlike Jason Donovan who has had stage dancing experience and cannot be said to be a novice. Good on you Robbie and Ola is a great teacher.

I disagree with the comments made about Robbie's thrusts in his dance. He was dancing to a Michael Jackson song, I seem to remember that Michael Jackson did some of that himself when he was dancing. I think it is very clever of Ola to give Robbie lots of characterisation in his dances. I thought it was very entertaining and he definately had votes off my mom, my husband and me. Go Team Savola!

The thrusting on the floor was within the dance. Maybe a bit overdone. Jumping up on the table was more likely to be Ola's idea of a joke in reaction to the press's articles about CRH's slabbering over Harry. She probably included that thrust to play to CRH's more desperate side and to have a laugh. Hopefully we won't see a return to last series OTT kissing judges and the likes. It quickly becomes boring.

Ola - Please remember SCD is a family show and tens of thousands of young children are watching. Robbie's thrusting was completely inappropriate at such an early time on a Saturday. You are a much better choreographer than this so stick to showing his dancing ability.

How I agree with the comments deploring your very tacky and inappropriate routine tonight. With millions of children watching it was VERY poor viewing. And I did not care for it either. I thought this was a balllroom dancing competition, not a night out with the lads on a stag/hem night.

We saw a clip of you last week I think with your two little boys in the training room. Do you think last nights routine would be appropriate for them to watch? Hi Ola, i watch strictly for one reason only, that is to watch you dance, i think you are a terrific looking girl and a fantastic dancer. good look in the competition, hope you and robbie win it.

I also was very disappointed with Robbie's thrusting. Tastless and totally unsuitable for a family programme. I also agree with mattzings comments about Aleesha (no 20), she did herself no favours on Saturday.

Dear Robbie and Ola I have been a fan of you from the start but an awful lot of people were offended on Saturday and I hope you are big enough to take this on board.

Ola, Chris Hollins wasn't a great dancer but your brilliant choreography won the competition.

Over the last couple of seasons I personally think Strictly has been going downhill so please don't help it to go any further.

I aggree with other people, Robbie was too crude on Saturday. My 8 year old son was really embarassed and my 11 year old daughter said " That's disgusting". Really innappropriate stuff for a Saturday night family show. I thought he was bad enough when he birped really loudly in Ola's face and this has compounded it. Please Ola we are big fans of yours so more tasteful

I agree with most of the comments here. Saturday's performance was embarrassing.

I was rating Robbie as a Glitterball contender, but this routine was awful.



Last week looked like an audition for a shampoo advert, i hate to think what he wanted on Saturday.

Amazing how wrong you can be about people, isn't it? Thought you were a breath of fun fresh air Robbie and loved your energy. Then you went and spoilt it all on Saturday and gave us a horrible vulgar performance with virtually no dancing it (Glad to hear your five year old does that movement - I'm afraid we don't share your views parenting). Then, when asked for a comment, instead of just saying you were sorry if you'd offended anyone but hoped people would vote for you next time, you Tweet that people have it in for you? Sounds like footballers chip on the shoulder stuff to me. Why would anyone have it in for you? Believe it or not this isn't about you - it is about what we, the viewers feel. Try getting your head round that, get your hands away from your crutch, put a smile on your face, concentrate on your dancing and show some humility.

I hope this blonde guy is the next to go, he was absolutely repulsive playing with his crotch and imitating sex, the show is about dancing not sexually simulating the audience.



Dancing is about good footwork, style, grace and technique, not playing with your crotch!

Robbie was disgusting, his moves had no connection with dancing however perhaps he thinks a bit of sexual excitement will win him votes ... the sooner he goes the better!

I do think people are getting slightly carried away and exaggerating here! It wasn't that bad! It's nice to see Robbie on the show and proving that footballers can dance. I have been a fan since you started SCD and I liked you as a footballer.

You need to do some serious thinking though. Just because there were only a few hundred official complaints your routine (which was definitely sleazy) may very well stop many others voting for you.

Maybe a brief "sorry for any offence" from both you and Ola on ITT or next Saturdays show wouldn't be a bad idea.

Robbie, I thought your waltz was beautiful. You were obviously very moved by the dance and I felt your emotion. Your posture and execution of the dance had me in tears. You were immense!!!

Yes, I was moved. The waltz was beautiful. It certainly matched up with the good waltz I have watched by male celeb over the past years, mainly from series 2 to series 6, when dancing still mattered then. Last evening was the very first time I voted, and it was for Robie, thanks to Craig's comment, which IMO mediocre and stereotyped. It's just so easy (and lazy?) for him to just say 'no emotion' or no connection. Bruno gave a much better and correct comment of the dance with good understanding. Bruno looked at the dance and referred it to the music to work out and understand what was trying to deliver, not to pick from a group of pre-set statements from pre-set concept.

I didn't enjoy it.

He looked uncomfortable with the "acting," side of it.



That said, anything but back to the "eyes & teeth," obsession which has a person smiling through the most desperate of songs..something, even some of the pro's are guilty of, at times.



But it looked to me like he was thinking it through and the "tension," which was mentioned was, for me, not down to his "acting skills."



In the end, I don't think he's one of the stronger dancers in the competition and is unlikely to make it much further, IMO.

Last weeks dance was within the limits of strictly. But I absolutely liked Robbie and Ola's dance this week as it had more Waltz than any of the other dances. Lately strictly is becoming a "SHOW DANCE" platform for all dances. A Bit more of the actual dance would be an advantage. As people will want to learn to dance on what they have seen on the tv and not what it actually is to dance.

Unfortunately Robbie was more nervous, and therefore tense, when coming on to dance than he had been previously and it showed in his dancing - he wasn't "bored and sulky".



He does get uptight about low marks when he's trying to improve but he's tweeted that, on reflection, the marks from Craig were the second highest he's had from Craig so not that bad after all.



He had two Question of Sport Live Tour dates in the week prior to the show which would have cut down on his available training time (OK I know that Chelsee has even less) but he did start as an absolute non-dancer.

I cannot see how CRH said no emotion - I thought it was a very well thought out dance, and matched the mood of the song - the sadness of a broken heart was there for all to see. I think you are so well matched, and I hope you stay in the competition until the end. Robbie think twice before you use Twitter!!!!

I have no problem with his dancing and liked him in the early weeks. Could even have forgiven him the pelvic thrusts if he'd had the grace to apologise. What finished him for me was his inability to take cricisim and his sulky 'people are out to get me' attitude. He has a lot of growing up to do.

Michael Jackson based his whole career dancing like this, Robbie was dancing to one of his tracks and used his moves, people taking this too far! Well done Robbie and Ola for getting through to the next stage, I really think you are improving each week and think some of the comments were harsh and I hope people now stop going on about the Paso from last week and move on like we all do if there is a dance we don't like and frankly, I don't think he was being sulky, just disappointed with the marks when he felt he was bringing the dance alive with some of Michael Jackson's trademark moves.

Come on people, take a chill pill and get out more! Michael Jackson has been giving your kids performances like this for years, didn't hear any complaints then?? Just enjoy Robbie & Ola's performance for what it was, and move on. Robbie has shown that he puts his all into his efforts to dance, give him and all the other Celebs the credit they deserve for their efforts, after all, could and/or would you be brave enough to go out there in front of the nation and try and do something you know nothing about? methinks not. I loved the dance on Saturday, I was amazed the judges didn't find it emotional, I thought it was really moving. Of course Robbie didn't smile- he was supposed to be broken hearted!

It also breaks my heart when I see Robbie looking so crestfallen when it comes to judging time. He's a sensitive soul, bless him.



Hiya Teddyandgypsy @ 64- I'm not sure if Ola and Robbie actually realised they had anything to apologise for. Apart from messages on these blogs there hasn't really been a stirring about it within the greater viewing public as there? At least I haven't seen anything, but I admit I may be wrong.



I think maybe that's why Robbie felt 'got at' because most of the very negative comments seemed to be directed straight at him, as though it was a personal failing of his (not being able to stop himself thrusting during a dance sequence), rather than the view that the dance was not suitable for family viewing.



The BBC obviously didn't receive enough complaints from viewers to warrant an apology, either issued by themselves or by Ola and Robbie and if they had I think both Ola and Robbie would probably have felt real regret if the general consensus from the public was that the dance was distasteful.



As it was I think Robbie probably felt he was the victim of a witch hunt, by a small but very vocal group of viewers.

But it's past history and shouldn't be allowed to affect comments and votes on current and future dances by Savola!

Though thinking about it, 3 or 4 hundred complaints out of lots of millions of viewers is still very much in the minority.



I'm sure Robbie will do ok this week: he works hard, he's charming and he seems to have a lovely relationship with Ola, that will get him through a few more weeks I'm sure. His dancing is getting better too, so that might get him even further.

Pleased to hear how much Robbie has fallen in love with learning to dance - I agree with him that he probably won't make the final but think he will get to join the SCD tour at wembly and he will be thrilled to get that far he said. He has worked so hard and definitely deserves his success.

American Smooth this week- I think that's going to suit him so well, Ola can keep him in hold quite a lot but play on his masculinity with the lifts. I'm really looking forward to this one. Does anyone know what music they're dancing to?

I do hate all the stuff about minorities. Are people saying that unless more than half of the 7 million viewers complain, then that's alright then? The BBC would go under, for a start! Minorities do have a point of view and when it concerns something like taste on a family show, they deserve to be heard. Those of us who moaned are not saying 'never', we're just saying that simulated sex before the watershed on a show that says 'Good evening children' when it comes on air, is not appopriate. Surely all the people who love this sort of thing can watch it on loads and loads and loads of other channels?

I agree with you that everyone should have their voice heard, absolutely. I just think the complaints about the dance that have been noted on this blog don't really seem to reflect the general public opinion. I'm not saying that makes the complaints less justified, but with Strictly being a 'democratic' voting show the emphasis is generally placed on the views of the majority.



Personally I didn't enjoy the dance either, but I don't have children so I didn't really worry about it. I do think it's a shame that a lot of the negative comments were aimed at Robbie personally though, when really it was Ola's choreography that was the problem.

Sorry to nag away on this one but I don't think the complaints were so much at Robbie in the beginning. But he handled it so badly - no grace, no humility, just 'they're getting at me' and spoilt child behaviour which caused the whole thing to hang around much longer than it needed to. Most of us liked Robbie at the beginning and admired his energy, but the spoilt little footballer act was a turn-off. With regard to the number of complaints, the people who will trouble to pick up the phone or send an email or a letter will always be relatively miniscule when you are talking big audience shows. But it shouldn't be assumed that because people don't complain that they like it. I think that is simply not true, which is why people who do comment are always just a sample. But they are usually representative. A similar example would be the comments on the blog about things like props and the VT's. Most people don't like the overuse of props since Moira Ross took over and I have yet to read a comment from anybody who loves the childish time-wasting VT's that have crept in this series. We are the people who care about the show and take the time and trouble to comment. We are therefore likely to be represenative. And on that subject, it has always baffled me that the BBC continue to cling to Aleesha Dixon who clearly is not universally liked. Look at the speed with which they ditched Jared Murillo.

For goodness sake teddyandgypsy, enough already!! Its done, over! If you are that offended by them, use the OFF button!

Ouch! No. I will not turn off a programme I love that bills itself as family entertainment because it turns into something else. I suggest that those people who want something more sexual select the channels that specialise it that sort of thing. The blogs this year have been really good humoured and there's a great atmosphere going amongs most of us. I don't tell anyone what to watch and I don't appreciate your telling me.

Well emj, I'll leave it to you to put the reasoned arguments in future which I have tried to with some humour do on these blogs, whilst always being careful to argue that everybody be free to enoy what pleases them. Insults - no, I don't do them. Like I don't tell people to turn off the television when they don't like part of the content of a programme which deviates from that which has been advertised. Bit like going to a Chinese and being served Indian. Well, it's been fun but now it's not.

Ooh, they've got a good song, I'm pleased. It's got that old time feel that suits the American Smooth. The only thing is, I can't think where the lifts would fit in with the music. Can't wait to see it.

Yeah, I must admit I would have preferred a more traditional arrangement too, but at least it's not a modern song, I never think they suit the American Smooth very well.

But then again look at Artem's Swan Lake- who would have thought that would work so beautifully, and that was hardly traditional Broadway stylee (which is what I usually associate with the dance)!

and it's one of those songs which puzzle me as the melody is to one rhythm and the backing beat is to another - in this case a slow smooth melody and a cha cha beat backing.



Will have to wait and see what Ola choreographs to this.

Should make for an interesting dance shouldn't it? I think maybe it was chosen to show off the best of Robbie's talents, so we get a bit of the cheeky cha cha rhythm and then the more graceful part in the middle.

And songs that change tempo a lot always seem to go down well don't they? Maybe it's because of all the opportunities for change of direction and steps.

Listen to me talking like I know about this stuff! I think Ola will do fine if she reads this for ideas. :)

Should be interesting indeed - we'll get to see a lift or two: I doubt that Ola weighs very much and Robbie does do weight training.

On ITT on Monday they were talking about a lift where Ola is on his shoulder, upside down. But that's the thing with this song for me- I can't see how that sort of move would fit the music, I can't picture where it would come. It's a good thing I'm not a choreographer I suppose!

I'm with groovinggranny re the version of the song, Deano's is much smoother.



However must go listen again to see whether I can guess where lifts might be.
