EXCLUSIVE: Training Video - Holly Valance and Artem Chigvintsev

I like Holly. She comes across well. Not too serious but still up for the challenge. It's refreshing to see a girl who's happy in her own skin even if she's not wafer thin. A good role model :):)

Holly looks so good at this stage and Artem obviouly feels he's only just scratched the surface with her potential and what he can teach her. Looking forward to seeing their first dance. Completely agree with you ojtocs that it's good to see that Holly isn't taking herself too seriously, but this could fast become an issue if Artem feels she isn't working hard enough. Heard last week she had the 'wobbles' and wanted to leave SCD, I'm sure she could become as good as Kara Tointon if she wants to and the longer she stays in competition the more motivated she will become.

She's got looks, rhythm, experience of learning a routine from her pop videos, personality, dry wit and last years winner as a teacher. To quote Dad's Army's Frazer, 'She's doomed!' I think not. Her competitive streak will kick in after this week end and I'm sure she'll put the work in and go for it. I hope Artem doesn't push too hard too soon. I want to see happy faces on Strictly Dancing not Strictly Down The Saltmines.

Agree. Hope Artem lets her have fun and enjoy the whole experience.

You are right, Artem is such a good teacher he will already know exactly how much he can push her - especially as he was one of the people who persuaded her not to leave SCD last week. I'm sure once they have got this first live dance under their belts, it will be Holly who ends up being far tougher on herself than he is on her!

Good, the best so far I think. Artem is playing it cool but there is potential there and she could be very good. The three under 30's so far look the best dancers Holly, Harry and Chelseee but I like to them all live first to see how they cope with that.

I think all the above comments have hit the nail on the head. Holly has got a lot of potential and looked really good. I am looking forward to seeing her especially as Artem thinks she is only at 15% when it comes to her potential and effort. I hope they call themselves Team Hartem

Holly did a great latin on Friday..... a day early. She's got so much potential but both Holly and Artem looked a little hesitant. I hope they can find their feet as dance partners. If they can I think they'll do very well!

Yes after seeing fellow Aussie Jason Donovan dance so well - reckon Holly's competitive spirit will kick in next week, bet she'll make a big improvement on the 15% effort Artem says she's making at present - did I hear the foxtrot is their next dance? Come on Team Hartem!

Holly's salsa is looking good in training but I was expecting a foxtrot this week.

One ballroom one latin each before the first public vote is the usual format.

Yes I was sure Holly's next dance would be ballroom - she said on ITT she's finding the Salsa easier than the cha cha and they are looking good at this stage with three days rehearsal still to go.

watched Holly and Artem again on ITT looking happy and relaxed - after their great cha cha at the weekend, sure they will go from strength to strength. Artem for me is the best choreographer on the programme and he's obviously a fantastic teacher as well - Holly is tall, beautiful with a laid back personality and she already dances well. Being the strictly champion last year may go against them, as people will want to see someone new lift the glitter ball, but still think it's possible if they really work hard - Go Team Hartem!

Good evening Hartemites! Is this going to be their team name? I enjoyed seeing them on ITT this week. Loved the terminator clip!



I would have preferred to see them dancing a ballroom dance this week to see how Holly is then in both forms of dance. 2 weeks of latin does not give an idea on how a celeb is handling the types of dancing available to them.

Intrigued with the Chicago jail set-up - Tango was one my favourite dances of Kara and Artem's last year and it's certainly looking good.

Best of luck tonight Holly & Artem! I'm looking forward to see your routine tomorrow (I can unfortunately not see any videos or other clips via the website from Dublin so I will have to wait for your appearance on ITT and of course the Saturday Night show... but it's well worth waiting for :))
