I ran a small story telling posting group with about 6 active posters and we discovered to our surprise, thousands were reading us, and we we a tiny out of the way website unadvertised. All word of mouth. So imagine how many are reading these posts. They don't even need to register.

Watching Darren dance wihtout Lilia is like seeing a one half of a couple who you're friends with out with a lover and not being sure whether you should say something to the other half.

I do wish the BBC would have a still camera that focuses on the whole dance floor at once and doesnt move as it seems we miss some of the dance when the camera shots change and move around

I would say, none of us will be surprised by the result of the votes so it's just song and dance. The thing about the dance off it brought tension just like a penalty shoot out in football. I was all for the dance off. I'm one of those sad to see it go.

Sarah, just a guess but I think many singers when singing infront of a live audience are not using autotune, because of the recent stink.

I love Ian and Darren as dancers, but they are wasted in that dance troupe, it's a waste of time this dance troupe, just something to pass time and isnt the same as having all the pros working together like in previous years.

I think Claudia looked smart and beautiful as all ways (my school marm line aside). She was how ever sat amongst a lot of people in glittery show costumes

It's taken me since Robbie started singing to log in. I wish they'd do something about their mics. I used to think it was just bad singers but after hearing Robbie I'm not so sure now. Never heard anything so tragic!! Don't like the results show. Won't be watching it again. Very unprofessional feel to it. Strictly is not the show it was!

The wrong person got put out. Should have been Peter, but obvoisly with him being England no.1 years ago he's recieved more votes than goldie.



Don't get me wrong Goldie was really bad last week and couldn't take himself serious. So maybe it was deserved.

Did not think it was as good as the old results show. It was all a bit hello results goodbye.

Entertainment value of the show 2 out of 10

I can't BELIEVE yet again the BBC has fobbed us off with yet another pre-recorded show. It's evident that it was filmed last night - the blonde girl in the audience directly behind Tess was directly behind Bruce last night, and they even managed to get Robbie to sing two songs last week when he was there with Gary, because Alesha was wearing a different dress to "this evening's" show.



Well done BBC - why didn't you just put tonight's episode on at 8.30pm last night? It would have saved you a lot of bother.

what a shocker, I bet goldie and kristina thought they were safe. The show was so much better without bruce, and how good were the show dancers, and thank god matt is safe.

Sorry Claudia, but you looked a right mess tonight. I know you like to be trendy, but what works on It Takes Two doesn't look good on the live show which is meant to be glamorous. Looked liked you'd wandered into the wrong studio or got out of bed late. Weird dress, strange shoes (too big) and your hair was a mess.



Sorry to go on but a lot of us rooted for you to get a bigger role and tonight was your debut and you messed up.

Absolutely the wrong decision! Poor Goldie. Judges were not happy with it either going by their expressions. Anne should have been out, she didn't even bother to do a dance this week!

Sorry folks - that was the most tiresome 30 minutes. Don't like the new format - not enough of the pro-dancers - Ian and Darren wasted in the 'show troupe' - lots of cheesy repeated VT clips and the judges totally disenfranchised with the dance off having gone. Whilst I was not always a fan of the dance-off it at least bought some sanity to the voting. It also made things more competitive and the build up to the dance-off at the end was always eagerly awaited and good viewing. I didn't particularly want either of the two couples to leave tonight - I love Erin and agree that Peter has a big fan base - but Goldie did not deserve to go and I think we all know what the result of a dance-off would have been........Is this the shape of things to come? Rescue the show please BBC or on your head be it!

Think getting rid of the dance off is a mistake. Whole show lacked tension and drama.

What's with the change in format for the results show? Wouldn't have minded splitting up who is in the bottom two if they'd still kept the judges deciding. But talk about half an hour's worth of nothing! Absolutely agree that as it's for the public that we get a say, but what was wrong with the old system? I for one actually liked the fact that the judges were there to temper the popularity contest aspect with choosing who was worthy of staying based on their dancing ability.



But it also it gave the contenstents a chance to improve. Everyone loves a second chance - how often have we seen celebs go after the first attempt that they knew they'd mucked up and would do better / and or take on board the judges comments if they were in the dance off?



Or were the producers worried that we'd get a repeat of JS who obviously walked before the judges voted him off. Or why they trying to keep up with X-Factor? Heck if they're that bothered, why not go from scratch and get more than the final 14 celebs in to begin with, getting double the amount in to dance infront of a studio audience for us to vote who should have the privilege of being the main show at all (AKA X-factor/ Britain's got Talent auditions in front of an audienced).



For me, they've killed off that extra bit of drama and tension that made the results show worth watching. Frankly I don't see the point in watching the results show now - I can just come on to the forum or website and get the result!

Well, watched the show. Obviously Ann should have gone, but it's not really about the dancing is it.



One comment though... Robbie Williams! What the hell was he doing? I think that he sang about 1/2 the song at most - certainly he didn't sing one of the choruses. He just moved around the stage in a way that was mostly unflattering! Still, at least the backing singers were there, cos as well as singing 1/2 the song, they actually sounded better than him too.



On that performance, he wouldn't make it past the audition stages of one of the singing shows! I'd love to hear Simon's comments about him if he was auditioning for x-factor!

Not sure about the results show yet but it's the first one. As the contestants get fewer there will be more entertainment time. It puts the results firmly in the hands of the voters even if they do not appreciate good dancing! People will always vote for the personality & not the talent of the few.

Worst SCD results show i've ever seen padded out in the extreme with all sense of tension lost with all the breaks from the results,pro dancers (group and the rest) as always were the best part of the show.

Will not waste 30 mins in the future unless to watch the pro dances,i believe this format was taken straight from DWTS,when will the BBC "get" that all these changes are not popular ????

I am stunned the BBC have decided to do their level best to stuff up the format.



Goldie was not the worst dancer and would not have been selected by the judges to leave the show under the old format.



So, we have a disaster of a results show. It was dull dull dull, it had no impact, and virtually no dancing, which of course is the point of the show.



I am not a dancer, and even I really missed the lack of dancing. The show dances were OK but they we didnt get to see much of a close up on the dancers, so these too lacked impact. I would be much more interested in the drama of a dance off.



The show lacked any excitement once you realised the result was already decided on the results of an audience vote after last nights show.



I am not surprised Brucie didnt bother to show up, next week neither will I or my family.



I know that Strictly is only a bit of light entertainment fun, but I was left feeling quite bereft and disappointed after the results show, sad that I now have no interest in watching the strictly results any more, sad that we wont see Goldie (he would undoubtedly have been one of the most entertaining celebs this year), and sad that this could not have been predicted - why do the BBC execs get huge salaries if they haven’t got the common sense to realise they would be robbing the show of its energy and drama with this move.



Who would watch the wimbledon final if they just announced that the winner was based on an audience vote on the semi final the day before?



Whoever messed up the results show format made a huge mistake.



Please please BBC, dont make a bigger one by not listening to the audience reaction.



Bring back the results show, admit tonight was a farce, and bring back Goldie next week, he shouldnt be kicked out without a dance off.



If the results show is not worth watching, pretty soon many of will decide there is no point watching the main saturday night show.



That would be sad, as I have a soft spot for Strictly, its an institution.

Not sure if I like the new format of the results show. Seems to have lost its 'perzaz' with no dance-off. A lot of people have to turn up just for a 30 min show! Bring back Bruce and the dance-off please.

Oh come on, people. The BBC has made changes to this show precisely because of the weight of complaints seen on the messageboards in previous seasons. The dance off was hugely contentious, there were many people who wanted to see more of Claudia and less of Bruce, and for ages now there have been calls to give the power of decision making back to the telephone voters. The BBC does listen to its viewers, but it can't please all of the people all of the time.



I did think the dance troupe was a bit of a disappointment - not enough dancers and so few we knew already. But it's early days and hopefully they will improve and we will get used to them. And my goodness Claudia needs to put her contact lenses in before going to wardrobe.



But as the weeks go by I'm sure things will get better. Give them a chance!

Just wanted to say how utterly dissappointed I am with Strictly come dancing.

I vowed last year, when I thought it was a load of rubbish, not to watch it ever again. Last night had guests who wanted to watch, so had to endure it for their benefit.

Out of curiosity watchd the results programme tonight and what a farce.

Bad enough that the format was completely naff, but having to endure watching Robbie Williams, in his ill fitting suit, scruffy appearance and total lack of talent was the final straw.

I for one, guests or no guests, will NOT be watching Strictly ever again, it is just another BBC rubbush programme.

The results show is shockingly bad. If it continues in this format I won't bother even watching it - just look at the results on line. Theres no point in watching anyway as theres no dance off, no chance for the better dancers to prove themselves to the judges

Can't say that I liked the results show either what a palava, It is not worth watching, as it is pre recorded, guest performances e.g. Robbie get edited in afterwards the format is all wrong and we need the dance off back. Also the phonelines need to be open longer rather than just 1/2 hour like they were last night. Not only that, I was speaking to my Mum about this earlier, and one of her friends went to the live show last night and saw the recorded results show and said apparently there is a website where u can find out who has been voted off straight afterwards before Sunday, I can see the BBC losing viewers if alot of people cotton on to this.

GUTTED about this year's results show format! How can you have a strictly show where none of the couples actually dance???? ANd because nothing that happens in the show can actually influence the outcome, there's no drama and no real reason for watching. It would be far less tedious to just get a text update about what happened.



One good thing though - loving Claudia as a presenter. She is fa-bu-lous.

I really don't like the new format of the results show, it was just a pointless half hour programme - next week i'll just tune in for the last 5 mins of the show!



The dance off added tension and stopped the show being a complete popularity contest whereas the new format is just cruel to the contestants and not particularly interesting for viewers.



It would be far better if the phone lines didn't close until half way through the results show so we could have more professional dancing and a singer/band etc, followed by the drama of the dance off.



Sort it out BBC - you already made a mistake by getting rid of Arlene and now you're messing with the format!



P.S. I thought Claudia was fab and looked fantastic.

I am so diappointed in this years show-I can't believe that the vote is down to the public! After the disgrace of John Sergeant being allowed to stay on for so long- we have now removed ALL power from the judges...



I agree if the show is going to move to channel 3 standards, I'd rather be watching something else-It is infuriatng watching dancers with potential for growth, being voted off for Ann Widdecombe (no offence I really like her and find her entertaining-but she is worse than John was!!)



Why bother having the judges...or the leader board for that matter!!!!

I agree with all the other posts saying that the change to the format of the results show was a terrible decision. I have been an avid fan of the show since the very beginning and was severely disappointed by the results show. Just silly to drag it out over that sort of time without any dance-off.



I used to enjoy watching strictly for the dancing and to see people really enjoying learning to dance and improving as they went along. Now people are just going to be kept in for humiliation and that is such a negative and cynical change to the show, bringing it down to the level of the x-factor.



What happened to the integrity of this show and its positive outlook? Every week, without the dance-off and the chance of the judges to save good and entertaining dancers/celebrities, we will be left with a farce of a show which just laughs at people that have no ability and/or possibly desire to dance.



BBC PLEASE LISTEN TO YOUR LOYAL AUDIENCE AND RE-INSTATE THE PREVIOUS FORMAT WITH THE DANCE OFF AND BRUCE.

Oh I tuned into BBC 1 tonight and saw Dancing with the Stars. When is Strictly come dancing back on then? What is going on with the format of SCD I dont watch DWTS due to this terrible time wasting results show. The old format of everyone being called at once was better and the BBC will loose more viewers if they are trying to change Strictly into DWTS. The results show was bopring tonight sorry. More professional dances back next week please. I think the Dance Off needs to be brought back as the public just vote on popularity and not a fusion of dance and popularity.

I have never posted anything on any website ever. However after tonights results show I feel compelled to put forward my thoughts on it. I am a dedicated strictly fan but after tonight I feel really let down by the programme. I watch this because it is different to X factor with the experts actually being experts and their opinion actually means something and adds weight to the programme. Tonight was dull, boring and generally pointless. All this chatting and all those VTs were just filling in time and it was very obvious. No tension at all and generally boring.

I hope that all these comments from myself and others are taken on board by the powers that be as now that you have handed over power to the viewers in the voting stakes maybe time to listen to us when it comes to the format. If it is not broken don't fix it - what was wrong with the old style results show?

So looked forward to Strictly Results Show - what a disappointment.



Loosing the dance off BIG mistake. Show was extremely boring just using pre-recorded material from the previous night. Awful interviews by Claudia and who had done her make up she looked very scary!



Robbie's singing was appallingly bad.



BBC if you are going to make a TV programme make it a good one - this was pathetic.

Agree with the comments about the new format for Results Show! Bring back the Dance-Off. The show had no climax without it!

I don't think Claudia looked bad at all! She was smart but compared to all the other girls, her dress wasn't exactly glamorous, so I think they could give her some nicer togs for next Sunday.



It seems obvious to me that getting rid of the dance off was a mistake, though. We all know that Goldie didn't deserve to go home, and that would have shown in a dance off. I'm sort of dreading seeing Paul and Ann next week, but oh well.
