A cello and a leather glove

Friday morning bright and lovely here and a house full of people, ironing and bacon smells. But I wave it all goodbye and head for a our book club executive committee steering group cohort meeting with special responsibilities for choosing top books for everyone. And we do it with biscuits. How's that for a morning?
Then to 5L for movie chat and Gareth Edwards the British director of Godzilla. I think it's terrific an he's done a splendid job. He's a former BBC visual effects man who made 'Monsters' 4 years ago and essentially did the FX on his laptop. Now he has a budget of 162 million dollars (or pounds I forget-you get the picture) and the result is spectacular.
Then I shall stomp and blast my way round to R2, destroying everything in my wake, for some ARF duties. Shall we say 1979? We shall. Elton John plays Moscow, Seb Coe sets a record for the mile (3 mins.48.95) and the last episode of To The Manor Born attracted 23 million viewers.
And the albums you were buying; Spirits Having Flown, Regatta De Blanc and Tusk. Choose an ARFO now and glory could be yours!
