Morning. Monday again. Hope the weekend had some good stuff for you think about all week. I found myself in Ipswich at the Literary Festival there and later in a coastal pub for some keen discussions about something that appeared important at the time, but less so now. Whatever. Another top week on the way!
Emma Thompson today. One of our very top actresses. She has written another Peter Rabbit book and it's a strange one to read on the tube. I was, it won't surprise you to learn, the only one reading about Mrs Tiggywinkle and Benjamin Bunny. But I was the better for it I think. I do remember my gran telling me about Mr McGregor and his rabbit pie, and probably haven't given Beatrix Potter much attention since then. But this world is back and beautifully illustrated too. I haven't interviewed Emma before and now get to speak twice in 4 weeks. She's in a bunch of movies soon, including Saving Mr Banks in which she plays PL Travers, Mary Poppins author of course, and Tom Hanks plays Walt Disney. That has to be good doesn't it?
And how about BEATRIX POTTER oldies for your delight? Thanks ever so.
Have an energetic and hassle-free Monday, see you after 5
