Salad Days?

Well I'm looking forward to an easier morning than yesterday. An early morning screening of Filth was my Monday treat and I'm not sure even its star James McAvoy would think it ideal morning viewing. He is spectacular but there is only so much drink, tobacco, illegal substances, brutal violence and shouty swearyness that seems appropriate. A great double bill with Sunshine On Leith methinks.
Pam Ayres today. She really is a national treasure. Another collection of poems 'You Made Me Late Again' is out so stand by for some witty and poignant odes, read in that instantly recognisable voice. It was Opportunity Knocks in 1975 in case you're wondering when you heard her first. She still sells out theatres around the UK, hear her tonight at 6.
And how about BEST YEARS OF YOUR LIFE oldies as apparently, according to a chair lift company (!) life does indeed begin at 40, with 64 per cent saying their happiest times have been from middle age onwards. Hooray for us.
Have a bouncy and incorrigible Tuesday, see you after 5.
