Good morning. Rain thumping down on the roof this morning which was NOT FORECAST. My weather app still doesn't acknowledge it ever happened so maybe it was me imagining it. It was 6.15 after all. Need layers.
Big reveal on the new book yesterday, with the new Bridget Jones selected for a week on Monday. Rebecca very happy, Matt uneasy about reading it on the tube when it is full of Arsenal fans en route to whatever it was that they were going to. If you want to review it, sign up as a reviewer now! I read half of the first and saw the movies and you'll know we pick up the story after Mr Darcy has died and Bridgett is 51 and has 2 kids. We've signed loads of things which means I can't tell you anymore which is just as well as I don't know anymore. I'm on page 5 and Mrs M has nicked it.
Another top author today! It's William Boyd on his new James Bond novel 'Solo'. He's one of our leading writers and a huge Bond aficionado (which helps) and you can hear him today after 6. Its Bond in 1969 and definitely not the Daniel Craig version we have in our minds now!
And after Matt told us yesterday about Neil Kinnock being asked to leave his seat at the Fulham v Cardiff match after celebrating a Cardiff goal too enthusiastically, how about CELEBRATING WILDLY oldies? Yes
