Early trip in to R2 meeting room where a group of us sit in a square, pass round biscuits (very few takers) and then pass round some books ('ooh can I have that after you?). It's the quarterly book club/Book Club gathering to decide which titles get the nod(s). You'd like it, even though it's a meeting. Piles of intriguing books and everyone looking for your new favourite novel. Later, about midday probably, 6 publishers will go all gooey and excitable. All authors stand a chance (except one, obviously).
Then later, once the day is largely done, Drivetime with Stephen Mangan as our guest. He stars in the new drama series Houdini and Doyle whereby Harry Houdini pairs up with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle to solve a few 'supernatural' crimes in 1901. History aside, it is a cracking idea as Houdini is the sceptic and Doyle the believer. Quite why it is on ITV Encore (who knew?) is anyone's guess. It looks expensive to me and worth hunting down. And also we should try SUPERNATURAL oldies and see what you all fancy.
