Cold windy and Wednesday but that mildness isn't far away. Another day with your winter woollies. And heating on Matt, heating on. Top Tunesday yesterday with the standout for me being the Bonnie Raitt track I Can't Make You Love Me. I knew the song but had never listened to the album it's from, Luck of the Draw. So I did what quite a few will have done and went home and listened to the whole thing. Amazed I missed it in '91 (what was I doing?). It's a wonderful album full of that extraordinary voice. Let's do it all again next week.
Today top writer Patrick Ness is here again with a new novel Release described as his most personal yet. I've loved Patrick's books since the Chaos Walking series and his A Monster Calls was such a huge success, both as a book and film. So a new novel is quite a moment, hear Patrick after 6.
And your tunes today to celebrate Giorgio Moroder's birthday! He's 77 today and it's an excuse to play some great SYNTH TUNES. He and Rick Wakeman (along with Walter/Wendy Carlos) were responsible for my love of synthesiser music and now is the chance for some wonderful tune choices with some Korgs, Moogs and Fairlights. And other keyboards I can't play...
